Saga of the Queen of Resort Changes~Two TRs in One *COMPLETED*

Let's hit the Party!!!!!

As much as I adore Main Street decorated for Christmas...I have to say I am SO happy to return in the Summer. It was misty and cool...similar to when DH and I went last November...we were OK with sweatshirts and we were moving so all good. No one could decide what to do so we started counter clockwise...

Magic Carpets of Aladdin was first..and it was a walk on...most peeps were leaving MK Can I just say this was my 1st ride on the carpet??? I suppose we've never wanted to wait on line, but the girls have done it I really liked the ride!! Then we hit POTC again a walk on

Now it was time for the Castle lighting...I have never seen this show, so we headed to the Castle..apparently so did everyone else..but there were empty benches so we grabbed a seat (far from the stage but we could still see) It was really nice!!!

Now Bree had a meltdown, she wanted to see her Cinderella, and go in the castle....luckily her sisters distracted her by saying we should go on rides...they are wonderful, loving girls so we headed to BTMRR for Bree's 1st WDW coaster

BTMRR....we rode this three times...walk on!!!!!!!!!!!!! The third go around, Bree fell and hit her head trying to catch up to Kate..a CM saw, stopped the line and ran to poor crying Bree. She asked Bree if she was Ok, and Bree stopped crying, wiped her tears and asked if she could go on the best ride ever (in her best Agnes from Despicable Me voice) now 3 CMs were with her, and they brought Bree to the front row and everyone clapped and high fived her it was cool!! She IS a very strong girl!!!!

The last ride we all put our arms in the air, again..I've never done that, it makes the ride so much more exciting!!! We had a blast!!!!

Then we his Sunshine Tree Terrace to say hi to Orange Bird And grab Cocoa and cookies!!!!! And yes, Kate had an appetite to Cocoa

Next up the Haunted Mansion!!! Poor Maddie doesn't like this ride, but she agreed. I was nervous we would have to split up...much props for single parents taking the kiddos to theme parks!!! we did the Graveyard and had a blast!!Luckily we all fit in the Doombuggy and we had a nice ride!!!!Up next was the parade...after getting yelled at because the girls wanted rides...we skipped the parade and hit Fantasyland!!!!

Fantasyland is always my favorite!!!

First ride...IASM!!! We got our own boat, and I think this really made my girls happy!! I told them how when DH and I were there we also had our very own boat!!! They know it's my favorite ride, even though to them it's boring

Next Peter Pan..it was a 20 min wait...which for Peter Pan isn't bad..Again we all fit in one boat!!! YAY!!!!

I almost forgot, Maddie wanted to celebrate her birthday (sept 28th ) so she did have a birthday pin...and she LOVED all the Happy Birthdays!!! Although if a CM didn't notice...she would tell me...Mommy they didn't say Happy Birthday..unfortunately the Poly was where the pin was missed the most And in line all the guests told her Happy Birthday...she smiled ear to ear

Ok, sorry back to Peter Pan...we really liked it...then Winnie the Pooh...which I was told NO! Carousel??? NO!! Wait a minute...Dress Rehearsal???? Fantasyland....

Let's Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Up first Tales with Belle... Maddie and Kate hated it, Bree LOVED it !!!! OK, duly noted....up next Little Mermaid! I was nervous since Maddie is kinda being antiPrincess, and Kate is getting cranky...BUT the queue is awesome. We walked on which was neat, but it's like EE where the line is as cool as the ride. It was cute...kinda like the Seas with Nemo..kinda. I have to say the Fantasyland itself, theming, castles, etc...were more interesting than the rides for my girls. Kate keeps asking for Snow White...soon, baby, soon....

Next to Gaston's was a popcorn stand with some tables, so we stopped and decided to do Wishes there! It was very beautiful!! But different, since we were behind the castle we had fireworks all aound us And the Christmas Music made me cry

Now the girls were getting tired, so I tried Monsters Laugh Floor, they became very impatient...Buzz, YES! But their feet were wet, and they were cranky all over again. Then Kate climbed on the bars at the end by Zurg and hung upside down...UGH!! She got scolded by a CM....and me...and now I had it!!!

I didn't realize it was already 11pm...Too cold and wet for the boat, we hit the monorail I forgot closing time how pushy and mean people get...we waitied about 40 min to get on...I was not happy...not at all...the whole benefit of Poly...doesn't work at night

I am sure I am missing a bunch...overall..I wouldn't do the party again..since the kids aren't into Parades, Character meet and greets...it wasn't anything different than EMH...IMHO. But I am glad we went!

I was SO ready at this point to head home!!!

Time to head home.....

Since the girls REALLY wanted to swim....we had some time...we skipped our Kona breakfast and headed to the pool! Kate was fine (and warm) with her bucket on the beach they gave her at check in It was sunny..maybe 65 degrees..but that water was warm!!! Bree and Maddie enjoyed a very empty pool

In 15 minutes...the girls were dressed, I packed up and we checked out...saying goodbye to Orlando!! We hit Walmart for new headphones for the plane, and some snacks (no snacks on Frontier) then Denny's for Brunch..it was noon....

Our flight was 230pm....we had our Brunch, and off to the airport...BTW it was 1pm

The rental return was quick and easy, we hit the Frontier counter to check in and were warned to head to security since it was super busy....ugh no Hello Kitty store

The girls did great, we got to the gate and we waited to board last (we were the second to last row) The flight home was seamless, and so was the drive...we texted daddy and picked up pizza.....

And we walked in Hugged the boys.....and I was VERY HAPPY to be home!!!

I am happy we did it, but it was bittersweet, we all missed the boys!

Love all the updates, sorry you did not enjoy the party - we love it, but we very seldom do rides, just watch parades, fireworks and shows.

Tell me about hating to get on the Monorail at closing. That's why we love to stay at BLT or the CR as you can just walk over.

And I am happy you had a relaxed morning before heading home and had uneventful travels.

I think if we had a separate day at MK...the girls would;ve agreed to parades..they liked the shows

It's why we usually do Wishes from Poly..GF...avoid the closing mad rush

It is my happy place. And I thought of my dis friends constantly on our trip I was blessed with three trips this year..guess that's what makes waiting for August so hard!!

You're raising them right .... so they'll always LOVE Disney!!!

I hope so mama..if not Brian knows he's stuck going to Disney for the rest of our lives...LOL

This time we are totally there THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll arrive August 7 and stay "somewhere" (not sure yet ) until Aug 10. Then we'll hop on the Fantasy and do a back to back cruise until Aug 24. Back to Disney until the 28, then we are off to Key West for 5 nights, but back at Disney on the 2nd and staying through to the 7th!

We NEED to meet!
