We'll have a car, staying at Boardwalk and then Windsor Hills. Is there a grocery store you'd recommend where people are good about Covid precautions?

And Walmart ........... On way to W.Hills .

Publix & Target are within 2 miles of W. H. ( on Hwy 192 ) heading for Hwy 27

Just Make sure You wear a mask & keep your distance

Is there a particular Publix? The closest looks like the one in Orange Lake Town Center?

Probably not the closest but I went to the Publix at Lakeside Village Center (north of MK) one afternoon over Thanksgiving week. It was busy, but seemed like full mask compliance to me.

Not sure what precautions you're looking for. I have been shopping at Target and Publix since March, and they're fine. People wear masks, they wipe down each cart before it's returned to service, and the cashiers have plexiglass barriers.

A Publix employee told me they do not enforce their mask policy. A lady was walking around with her kids and no mask. I told 2 employees who did nothing and then went to guest services who said they won't tell anyone to put on a mask. I walked out immediately and it is one more reason to not like Publix. The target on 192 near Windsor Hills has been very good with mask compliance. We live right near Windsor Hills and go to that Target at least 2x a week. The Walmart on Old Lake Wilson isn't very good either, many times their employees have their masks down.

We shopped at the Orange Lake Publix last Sunday morning, at the beginning of our Boardwalk stay. We were buying breakfast & snack food for our 3 combined families totaling 9 people, including kids 16, 12 & 12. I used the Publix app to organize our list by aisle number, so we were in and out of there in 30 minutes - surprised ourselves! The store was not very busy, mask compliance was good, and as mentioned above, there are plexiglass barriers at the checkout registers. We felt as safe as at our local grocery in Texas.

We have used the curbside pick-up for groceries at Walmart on recent trips. Even if we run in to get a couple extra things, we are in and out less than 10 min vs. the full grocery shopping trip, so much less exposure. The Walmart on 192/N. Old Lake Wilson is not the most comfortable to shop in but it is the most convenient.

I would place my order online and pickup curbside at the Walmart on Old Lake Wilson Road. It doesn't make sense to go anywhere else when it is on the same road as Windsor Hills. You won't have to go in and worry about exposure at all. It will also save money by not having to go in and make impulsive purchases.

We stayed at Windsor Hills over Thanksgiving and shopped at the Walmart just down the road. I ordered our groceries ahead of time and scheduled pickup for our arrival day. I did forget a few things so had to run in real quick and everyone I saw was wearing a mask and keeping their distance. I would order groceries online it is way easier! Who wants to spend precious vacation time grocery shopping.

My family and I are staying at Windsor hills in JUly. We have a very large group so we were hoping not to go in. Our plan was to order our groceries and get them delivered. Does anyone have insight about that process? Or a better suggestion?

Publix and Walmart, which are nearby, offer curbside grocery pickup. I would just send one person instead of the large group.

We have had Walmart delivery to Windsor Palms no problem. Closest to WH would be the location on N. Old Lake Wilson.

Just a note about the Target app - I don't know if it's all Targets or just the one by me but they don't do curbside pickup for refrigerated and frozen items. I think they just don't have the storage for them. So it's good if you want to pickup water bottles and packaged snacks, but if you want milk, cheese, some produce items, etc. you might have to just go in and pick them up.
