Safer parking? Airport or hotel lot?

We have to leave our car at the airport for the 1st time for out trip this Aug. I was wondering if it's safer to park in an airport lot or do one of the deals where you can stay all night at a hotel and leave your car parked there for your trip. NE1 got ideas or experiences w/ this? Thanks!

Experience, no. But if the costs were close (and you didn't need to be at the airport by 4 or 5 AM) I'd choose airport parking. I'm guessing when you say "safer" you mean unlikely your car will 'disappear'? Chances are, a thief isn't going to be willing to pay to get your car out of the airport garage or lot.

I would choose the airport lot. They have security cameras that record your license plate number and they have quite a few security patrols.
