My firs time using a digitial at wdw is next month, and for the safari ride, afternoon parades etc. (i.e., daytime pics that involve movement) do I go straight to my sports scene mode or is there a better way of handling these kind of pics?

thanks for the help!

Yup, that is correct. This will boost the ISO in order to get the higher shutter speed required for these kind of shots.

Another reason to own a camera with good high ISO capability.

Might I add to put it in the quick drive or multi shot mode so you can capture several quick shots. You never know when a lion is going to yawn or something like that. When ever I take them I end up with about 10-12 of each animal and just delete at home or later in the park what I don't need.

Very good idea, skr8pn. I didn't even think of mentioning that although I actually do it myself. DOH!
