While the first part may be satisfying on a visceral level, it would have prevented the Iraqi people from coming to a sense of closure in their long nightmare of Saddam's reign of terror. In some ways, I agree that he does not deserve a trial. There is way more evidence than needed to convict him of hundreds, maybe thousands of crimes against humanity. He forfeited his rights when he ordered whole villages destroyed, his own people gassed, raped, mutilated.Originally posted by jeleebeene
He should have just been shot - he doesn't deserve a trial in my opinion.

It is true...Saddam is still in charge and, at this very moment, is personally removing all of the infidels from Iraq!!!!

OK...where does this stooge get off wearing a suit? He should be in that god awful orange jumpsuit that the other prisoners have to wear. I don't know why our guys just didn't shoot him in his hole and then drag him out and say he was dead. Better yet, shoot him to mame and then let him rot in his hole. Pardon me, but this idiot has no right to live!!

No surprise there. He has an arrogance that no jail can surpress.
I just wish all of this was OVER.
I thought he looked very well on TV and i can see this running and running which might not be a good thing for the U.S.

They did on the TV last night and many people spoke up for him. They also said they wanted the U.S to leave their country and asked why G Bush wasn't on trial for war crimes too.

Wasn't it funny how everything was timed for the U.S networks ( morning shows ) But sure that was to be expected as we all know the U.S is pulling the strings.
I don't see how reminding people of his crimes can possibly harm the U.S. in any way.
VH...and if he didn't look well on tv, you would be the very first to point it out to us.
