It on the home page it about a 22 year and her mother and grand mother died in a car crash in north carolina on their way home from a Disney world trip.

The car blew a tire and lost control and over turned the two older women wasn't wearing their seat beat and was thrown from the suv. Five other member are still in the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Please remember to wear your seat belt when your in the car they do save live and let keep their family and the ones still in the hospital in our prayers.

They weren't wearing seatbelts and the driver was going over 85 mph and driving aggressively in traffic. It is tragic - but they were stupid and asking for trouble.

Various reports had the driver going either 85 or 70. I'm not sure the official word is out yet. I haven't checked the news this morning. Either way, it's sad. We've all known folks who pushed the speed limit on a long road trip (and maybe have done it ourselves).

Every time I see one of these stories, I think of a few years ago, when one of my former students was headed to WDW and a wrong-way drunk driver crashed into their van on I-95 in SC. His little sister was killed (she was in middle school) and stepmother critically injured.

Any crash is tragic, but it seems especially bitter when a family is in the midst of something as wonderful as a WDW trip.

"They" were not driving. The one and only driver was to blame for the accident. While I agree that those that didn't wear seat belts were not exhibiting good judgement, I just don't see what calling them stupid accomplishes. :confused3

Such a tragedy, but I feel like a jerk for thinking when I saw the news article that it'll be part of John's depressing news segment. I am moving to SC next week, and then the following week making a trip down to WDW and we always drive around 75-85mph and I feel like this is a sign to take our time.
