Lisa's partner, Lynn, called, and shared that Lisa passed away Saturday. Lisa fought the beast, Inflammatory Breast Cancer for almost seven long years. Lisa was a fighter, one of the best I have ever met. She will be missed.
I, and I know others here, had met Lisa several times over the years, always such pleasant memories. Please keep her daughter, Emily, partner, Lynn, mom and dad, and all her family in your good thoughts.
Here are a few pictures (I will see if I can find more later) of Lisa over the past years............
And here, Lisa's last thread she started, back in March of last year, she was so proud of her achievement in her battle with the beast. She said.....
I warn you now that I'm bragging - don't open if you don't want to hear me brag!
Please remember Lisa, along with Emily and Lynn.

May it be an evening star
Shines down upon you
May it be when darkness falls
Your heart will be true
You walk a lonely road
Oh! How far you are from home
Mornie utulie (Darkness has come)
Believe and you will find your way
Mornie alantie (Darkness has fallen)
A promise lives within you now
May it be the shadow's call
Will fly away
May it be you journey on
To light the day
When the night is overcome
You may rise to find the sun
Mornie utulie (Darkness has come)
Believe and you will find your way
Mornie alantie (Darkness has fallen)
A promise lives within you now

A few pictures below, the first eight ones from when I first met Lisa, Lynn and Emily at MGM back in late 2001. We did the Osborne Lights together, took a few pictures, and then parted ways. The last 4, though not with Lisa, were when I had dinner at 'Ohana with Lynn, Emily and another family, friends of theirs. Lisa had not been able to travel then.
The Osborne Lights wowed us all, as they always do.
Emily (seems so little there) at the end of the then New York Street.
Whenever I talked to Lisa in subsequent years, we both always seem to mention the end of our evening that night, as we walked from MGM, stopping at the 5 & 10 horse for a few moments, Emily to ride, Lisa, Lynn and I to talk a bit.
Emily actually wants her own real horse soon.
Lynn took this one of Lisa and me, there by the dime store.
And then I took a picture of Lisa, Lynn and Emily as they were ready to go to the buses, and I to the boat.
Then, here this past may, 2006, dinner with Lynn and Emily and another family.
Emily sure has grown up. Here taking a moment for my pestering camera while she enjoys dinner.
Emily sure got a kick out me on this one, LOL. I think Lynn was telling her to behave, LOL.
And one of Emily and me her with her mahalo hand sign.
Again, as we parted ways, Lynne,Emily (on the left) and her friend. It was so nice to see them again.
And here, I think I will always think of this place, by the 5 & 10, where I first met up with Lisa, a bit over five years ago. Funny how I took this empty picture as we were ready to leave the park, that is what I sort of feel like now.
