Boy, did time fly! I guess we need to add another day next year. We left the CCI yesterday to head to San Diego for the second leg our trip, but we were all wishing we had just one more day at Disney.

We flew into San Diego Saturday morning, had lunch in Old Town then headed to Anaheim. Wow! Saturday traffic is intense! It took us three hours on the 5. Glad we did it that way though, because Sunday morning was absolutely dead in the parks. We rode all of Carsland and the boardwalk rides, made our way to Indy and got fastpasses, did some pintrading all before noon. And that was without any sort of early entry. In fact, we overslept a little and didn't get to the gates of DCA until 8:20am.

By the afternoon, things were really picking up.

More to come in a bit... my boys are hungry for lunch... LOL!

So how many days did you go to DLR? We keep adding a day every year. :rotfl: This year ended up being 7 days and 1 last morning on the 8th day. Kind of unintended to stay more than 6 days, but things worked out that way.

Whoopsie... we went to the beach after lunch and I might have had one too many margaritas. LOL! I'm back now...

So... where were we? Our lunch on Sunday at the blue bayou was amazing! The food seemed tastier than last year, no idea why. I had the Macque Choux, a first for me. It was enormous with three or four large portabello mushrooms and a variety of veggies and coscous. My Ds had the strip loin, cooked medium and done perfectly. I stole a bite or two. DH had the Monte Cristo and made his way through 3/4 of it. He's a big guy with quite the appetite and the sandwich won.

After lunch, we tried to use our Indy FPs and the ride was down for the 3rd time in 1 hour. They told us to come back at anytime because of the inconvenience. We ended up using it at night.

We did some shopping and lots of pin trading. We actually found more CMs with lanyards than last year. Very happy about that. We had close to 30 pins we were looking to trade and found swaps for all of them.

After that, we went to RSR to use our original FPs we pulled in the morning. We were a bit late because of our BB lunch. We showed them our receipt and they let us on.

The FP line was average, maybe 20 minutes. After that, the boys rode Screamin again and the Sky School ride. By then the parade was starting. We watched it from right beside Carthay Circle in the shade, then left the park to go swim at the CCI pool.

The pool is just a little bit of heaven when your feet are dog tired. It's not huge, but it is super clean, with lots of fluffy pool towels and a screaming-hot HOT tub. We utilized the pool and hot tub all three of our days.

After the pool, we chilled in the room for about an hour. The CCI has new and improved wifi service so we all got our tech fix and zoned out for a bit.

We had a 7pm reservation at Naples. I was worried as it has mixed reviews. But we liked it. I had a yummy chopped salad with radicchio, salami, olives, tomatoes, mozzarella and a tangy house dressing. DH had the meat and cheese tray to go with his red wine. He was quite happy with both. DS has some sort of creamy pasta dish with a side of garlicky sautéed broccoli, it was all swiftly inhaled with a thumbs up.

After dinner, we headed back to carsland. We had an extra set of return fastpasses from when the ride broke down in the morning. We were excited to ride at night. It was awesome!!

By then, it was about 9pm and the WOC crowds had taken their spots. We headed to Toy Story and were pleased to see it was at 15 minutes. After we rode there was no line so we got back on another 2 times!! This was great stroke of luck. The boys got to work on their high scores. DH broke the 200k mark and was very proud of himself. LOL

We saw the fireworks in DLR during our many runs from he exit of TS back through the queue.

We decided to head home around 10:30 that night to try to rest up for the next day.

I'll pick up there when we get back from dinner! See ya real soon...
