sad or sensible?

We're going back to Florida in 2006 (last trip August 2003). I know it's a long way off but we can't afford to go before then. I've seen a house that I'd love to stay in for 3 weeks in August 2006 and they will take bookings for it now.

Part of me thinks I should book it because it will give me something to look forward to but part of me thinks it's too far in advance and what if we can't get flights on the correct day etc etc............

Thought/comment/suggestions please!

You're absolutely right you do have to have something to look forward to. We always book well in advance so we're never dissapointed. Don't worry about flights, just keep checking your travel agents or websites, there's hundreds of them.
Boy, I thought we had to wait a long time. Just kidding it'll soon come around.

What we always do is book it, and explain to the owners/company etc that we havent booked flights yet, but give them rough dates, that way they provisionally book for a few more days either side of our dates, and we confirm with them as soon as we know!.

We did this last year for our 2005 trip, and we cant book flights till next month, but have provisonal dates booked and paid a deposit.

Yep, I'd book it too... worse scenario is you might need to spend an odd night or two in a (cheap anywhere) hotel... I have to have something to look forward to! Get it booked!

We are always restless until the next trip is booked. The feelgood factor alone is worth the money.

I agree, book it - that way not only have you got something to look forward to but it saves it being booked up and you being disappointed....so book it book it book it
