Sad - No "Receipt Day" at Chick Fil A this year!

Don't know if this is nationwide or not, but my local Chick-Fil-A is not doing the "Receipt Day" this year.

Instead they are giving away free Chicken sandwiches to those who were Black and Gold (local sports colors) on Tuesday (Tax Day).

At our local store, we have a receipt day, but it has always been in the summer. It was where you got food on the special day and then you could bring your receipt back within a certain period and get all of those same items for free.

So disappointing! I look forward to that every year. I checked the websites for my two local ones (waterfront and west mifflin) and they said the same thing!

Here at mine, it was always on Tax day. You got a special, blue receipt for your order and then you brought the receipt back on any day in May and got the exact same order free.

My Chick-Fil-A had posted on Facebook that they were having Customer Appreciation day tomorrow. I and another follower asked about receipt day and they replied something about it no longer following corporate standards so they aren't doing it.

We loved it because we always drive to the beach in May so we'd pick it up to have in the car on the ride down.

LOL I know am so disappointed. I asked WHY when I was in the other day and they told me that Corporate wasn't crazy about it..I think he was the only owner doing this with his franchises. He is the NICEST guy isn't he?

CFA is awesome for their freebies. I have about 5 within a close distance from my house, and we are treated with various free events all the time. I actually didn't like receipt day due to the big crowds it drew. It was really insane--even more than dress like a cow day.

Tomorrow, tax day, I think one is giving away free sandwiches and another iced tea. I'm not sure I'm going to either one, but it's nice they do things like that.

I live in Pittsburgh too. So bummed they aren't doing receipt day here, I know other places are still participating. I have family in Florida and they are aril doing it.
