Sad ending to a great vacation......

We returned home last Saturday(27) from a wonderful vacation in Disney. Of course, everything was great (except one meal). What has stuck with me was our river boat ride back from Downtown Disney to French Quarter. We sat next to a lady named Carla whose whole family was there on vacation. They were from Biloxi, Mississippi. They had booked the vacation and decided to go anyway since they would have to evacuate and they had already paid for the vacation. She said they lived only a block off the coast and her business was only about 6 blocks off the coast. Her husband was a cop and they thought he might get called back from Disney early. We wished her well and left for our luggage and plane. I keep thinking of her and wonder how she is. I don't think she was a diser (not that it matters at all, but maybe it would make contacting her easier) but wish I could find out and help her. She is in my continued thoughts and prayers. Of course, we did not know at that point what devastation would occur 2 days later. Now, I can't shake her worried voice and face. Just needed to share......thanks for listening.

we also returned home from disney the 27th. the 21st my husband and i went ot the polynesian for supper, before dinner we went into the gift shop. the cashier was from new orleans, she was the sweetestgirl, we talked for a good 15 minutes or so. this was before the hurricane was to hit louisanna, but anyways i have also thought of this girl and her family and hope they are all well.
