So sorry to hear about your cat. We had to put our 10 YO dog to sleep last year after we found out he had cancer. I had had him since the day he was born. Our son was 2 at the time and kept asking where Roscoe was and we told him he was heaven. He never grieved but I made up for it. It was difficult and I still get sad when I think about him or look at pictures. What helped me the most was to get a new dog. I call her my little angel that was sent to me. We rescued her from the humane society and I think all the time how we saved each other. I needed her and she needed me. You might need time to heal, but consider getting a new cat. It will never replace the one you lost but it can help you feel better, at least it did in my case.

I'm home from surgery. Everything went well. I just have to stay off my feet for four weeks. That might be hard to do since I'm already itching to get off this couch. Lots and lots of TV I guess.

My husband wore his Wilderness Lodge t-shirt to the hospital today. He thought it would be a good first thing for me to see after surgery. As he was wheeling me out of the recovery room, a nurse stopped him and asked if we had stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. She said it was her favorite place in the world. ME TOO!!! I just thought that was cute. I guess us Disney nuts are everywhere!

Good news ... now I'll have time to post about our cruise/WL stay.

My cat goes to the vet Saturday for blood tests (but I'm not sure why we'd even do that.) I guess we'll have to bring him in early next week. I am very lucky to have him. I rescued him from a Cat Rescue in Italy. He came with the name Giggetto (GG we call him). He is by far the warmest, most loving and kindest animal I have ever met. He truly was a gift to our family. We were so lucky to have him. I'm only sorry that the end of his life he had to suffer. We have another cat and a dog, but it will not be the same without our GG.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

I am still recovering from the recent loss of my cat. She was 19 years old and had kidney disease. We found out while we were on a mini-vacation and three weeks later she had to be put to sleep because she was in pain. I still cry thinking about her.
