Posted this on the CB, but wanted to share with all of you over here also.....

For those of you who remember the story of the Whooping Cranes that were not quite sure how to get to Florida for the winter, and were led down here annually by an ultra light aircraft, there is some bad news.....

All 18 of the Whooping Cranes were found dead after the tornado's that came through the area the other morning.

Just more sad news from this tragedy.....

On Feb 4 crane number 615 was found alive. There was one survivor.

I'm very glad to hear that at least one of them survived. Loosing 17 of them is still horrible tho.

That is horrible news. There has been so much effort put into helping these birds survive.

Being from Wisconsin, where the cranes began their journey, makes us even sadder, if that's possible.
