I remember watching Dateline yeaaaarrrrrs ago - like at least 10, and they showed some company that had a room set up with "white noise" and little pop up tents all over the place that employees could go nap in!
I thought THAT IS WONDERFUL! I bet LOTS of companies will start doing THAT.
Well - here I am. Working at a company with no nap room.
We have 10 nap rooms downstairs...for the preschoolers...but do the grownups get to nap????? NO!!!
What is up with that??
My g/f and I talked about that when we had toddlers.
All the things they would say NO to, we'd be totally okay with!!
*Go take a nap! "That sounds great, thanks!"
*Eat your dinner! "Dont mind if I do, Ill even have seconds!"
*Time for a bath! "A nice warm bath that all I have to do is lay there? Sounds great!"

cool thing was i managed to work my hours such that it eliminated the need for after school child care which threw even more $$ our way. oh and a major benefit was my employer still gave all of our benefits at the full time employee rate (so while i worked only 30 hours a week-i earned the same sick, vacation and holiday benefits as the real full timers).
