Can someone give me details on this pool? I know it's a sandy bottom and has a slide and a free float area. Everyone says how great it is, so Could you share what exactly you love about it? Can't find pictures that really show the specialness of it. thanks

I love it because it's great for our whole family. My kids are 11 and 5. The 11 year old loves the big pirate ship slide (so do I!) and the lazy river area. My 5 year old loves digging on the sandbar and paddling around in the shallow area. There is also a kiddie slide that can entertain her for at least half an hour. The sand bottom makes a pretty comfortable place to sit and relax while keeping an eye on the 5 year old. There are also a couple of waterfalls that are fun to stand under for a moment or two.

Up in the top center-left is the small pool that the start of the slide. Then in mid left you see some water shooting into the pool thats where the slide ends. It crosses the walkway and is way cool.

My children were 4,7,and 11 the first time we stayed at the BC. The 11 year old thrill seeker loved the slide, it starts from the pirate ship on the shore and crosses high over the walkway (completely enclosed) dropping into the pool, its a fast, dark thrill ride! He also loved the impromptu water volleyball games that the lifeguards organized. My 7 year old loved the lazy river, especially where the current moves at a really fast rate! The 4 year old just LOVED the area in the center of the pool where there is a sand "island", she left with sand in her suit - she spent so much time there! And the kiddie pool pirate ship with her size slides were a lot of fun - and she thought she was big stuff since she had her own slide while her brother enjoyed the other! I thought it was really fun that there were different depths through the different water "paths" - some places were under 4 ft while others were over 7ft deep. And I really like HOT hot tubs, and they were at SAB.

Here is a wonderful website that has just what you are looking for. At the bottom of the page there is a section that reads Stomalong Bay. Click on that and you will have a great slide show to entertain you. We will be there in less than a month and my children cant wait.

You will get some better answers over on the DVC boards .

But we stayed for a week in June at BCV and it was just so nice. The CM swere all great , The walk to Epcot and MGM can't be beat,the SAB was very nice.

That entire area is just very laid back but very close to all the action.
