We stayed at BC at Easter 2003 and I really had a hard time with the practice of "chair saving". I had a sleeping toddler on my shoulder and every seat had been saved but no one was sitting in any of them. Eventually after some crying and walking around, I had no choice with the other DD in the water but to move someone's towel.

I'd like to hear if this is still a problem or did my letter of complaint do some good.

TIA!

PS The waiter who brought me lunch was a lifesaver! I was so hungry but couldn't move - no food ever tasted better!

If you see a towel, neatly laid over a beach chair with no one around, no personal belongings, take it. You might want to wait a bit and watch before you do, that take it. Ask other people in the vicinity if anyone is using the chair.

We were there 2 weeks ago and the place was PACKED!
Did exactly what was posted above, just asked the couple next to a set of chairs if anyone was using them.
They said that the towels had been there for hours and no one had been sitting there. so, they became our chairs!

It seems some people put the towels on the chairs before going to the parks to save them for later in the day!
