Saana or Tusker House ?

I am leaving on Monday and I have an ADR for dinner at Tusker House on Thursday Night, for EMH.

DH and I have never eaten in AK, and thought Tusker House sounded good as DH loves a buffet and I love Indian/ Asian/ African type foods.

However I see that Saana has reservations still available that night. I have read all of the glowing reviews of this place, and was thinking of switching.

Which would you choose? Why?

TIA

I haven't done either yet, but have heard great reports on both.
I guess it boils down to what time do you want to dine?
If you want a later dinner, then go with Tusker House, that way you are in the park and don't have to leave EMH early to get to your ADR. Of course, I imagine AK closes at 8pm, so you could even get a very late ADR at Sanaa.
If you plan on eating early, then either would be fine. If you choose Sanaa, then you are only a 5 min. bus ride from AK and can head over as soon as you are done eating.
Hard decision. Good Luck choosing!

I haven't tried Sanaa yet, but I *loved* Tusker House on our trip last May! TH and Boma were probably my favorite restaurants of the trip. There is so much good food, and such a big variety - even with my limited diet. We had such a good time there, and I would totally reccomend it to anyone.

Sanaa was a total waste of time for both the low quality food and lousy service. I'd not bother with it.

Tusker House isn't the greatest buffet, but far better than Sanaa by a long shot!

My friends & I love Sanaa! We had great service and found the food outstanding. We've been for lunch & dinner. The tomato soup is the best I've ever had. We've had large groups (6 to 9 people each time) and I think we've tried everything on the menu.

We especially like the "sampler" portions. They serve some things in small bowls (and you pick 3 of each)- the salads and the bread and dip. There are, if I remember correctly, five salads and five breads to choose from and about 9 dips.

Whatever you do, don't over order. We all did the first time there, somewhat the second time. Now I'll be ordering the tomato soup and the breads & dip and I'm done.

If you are a tea drinker, definitely ask for it here!

I would choose Tusker House because you can try a variety of different foods. At Sanaa, it was hit-and-miss. The tandoori chicken and shrimp were awful, but the sustainable fish was delicious. So, you may be disappointed if you ordered something that you didn't care for. The service was very good though.

We ate at Sanaa the first week it was open. I too LOVED the tomato soup. It was the best part of the whole meal. You have to be careful what you order. I found out I hated tandoori anything. So next trip it;s the fish for me.

So unless everyone in your party is adventurous, I'd recommend you stay with Tusker House..... but remember it is just another Disney buffet.

We were there the first week too!

We have never done Saana, but we tried the Tusker House Buffet for lunch and loved it. It had tons of variety and the food was really good. We will eat there again on future trips.

We ate at Sanaa this past summer and LOVED it. A definite for all future trips. Our food was great and our service was excellent.

I haven't eaten at Tusker House yet, but highly recommend Sanaa!!!:thumbsup2

SAANA!

My husband and I love Indian cuisine and spices and we adored Saana. The staff was wonderful and very attentive and the food was both beautiful and flavorful. I also loved the layout.
