Saana on arrival day

We are staying at AKL in Sept and arriving on a Saturday. We are driving down and have an "estimated" time of arrival since plans may change some depending on when we get on the road. I really want to eat at Saana but the ADR times available may not work and will feel rushed when we get in. What are the odds of doing a walk up on the arrival day?

We also want to do Boma while there too and since that's buffet, would that be a better chance of walk up resv?

Boma you have a better chance of a walk up reservation. However, depending on the time, say after 8:00 PM you definitely can walk up at Sanaa. Also, it depends on the night to, Monday vs Friday / Saturday vs a Holiday.

That's what I was thinking. We arrive on a Saturday.

We also arrive on a Saturday 12/6. We are flying in, and I haven't yet made plane reservations. Once I do, I might make an ADR, depending on what time we arrive, but I have to get over to Downtown to buy at TIW card (DVC member, so can't do it in advance). We are coming from California, so flying is an all day thing. Because of so many variables, I'm hesitant about booking an ADR. Odds are, we wouldn't be ready for dinner before 8:30 or so. Good for walk up?

How late are they open on Saturday?

My experience anything after 8:30 walk ups are usually pretty easy. The last people they take (so I have heard is 9:30) But I have been in the bar later than that and seen people eating and ordering food.
