I just checked in at the exact 24 hour mark and got boarding group B postion 28. This doesn't seem that great? How high do the boarding positions go before it goes to C? For anyone who has been around this Boarding Position were you able to find 2 window seats together? We have 2 adults and 2 kids and would like to have one adult with each child, but do not have to all be together. Will this be possible? Thanks!!!!

How old are your kids?????

I believe family with kids get to boards between A and B. You may want to call SW to verify.

You're about midway in the B group, if I remember correctly. You should be able to find two rows that have an empty window and middle seat. You will have to go to the rear of the plane though. They won't be 'next' to each other but more like row 25, seats E and F and row 26, seats E and F.

I believe the numbers go to 60 in each boarding group. As PP stated, if your kids are young enough, family boarding is between A and B even if you have a B or C. Also, SW reserves the first 15 or 20 A slots for people paying for early boarding whether they are sold or not. I don't think you will have a problem sitting together towards the rear of the plane.

OP here. Kids are 8 and 10 so not young enough to do the family boarding. Just glad to hear that we have a good chance of getting two seats together. Thanks!

For our Southwest flight on Monday our family of 5 got BPs B43-47. As a point of reference - two of the kids and I got the last row of 3 seats in the back on one side of the plane, my husband was on the aisle diagonally across from me and our third child was on the aisle across from him.

It's college spring break week. I have a feeling that a lot of folks did EBCI, hence your mid-B boarding number.

You should be fine

Considering that Southwest's Boeing 737 aircraft have 122 to 137 seats (depending on the 737 model), Zone C must be quite small then.

Yes, there's typically just a handful of people left for C. Flight attendents will say "c is for center seat" because that's usually all that's left.

It's a bit more than that would suggest because there usually are only a couple of people in the A1-15 spots reserved for Business Select passengers, but even then the C group is by necessity pretty small.

I've been in a group of 4 people and we got B 46 to B 49 and we all sat together. People stress too much about this. Usually there are few if any people in A 1 - 15.

They are now offering upgrades at the gate to the A1-15 group. $40 per person if available.
