Do any FW veterans know if the boats from FW run earlier on EMH morning days? We are considering suprising our kids with a visit to MK on St. Pattie's Day while we are at FW (they don't think we are going to any parks). I don't typically visit parks on EMH days but if we do go, I would definitely want to get there before park opening to beat the crowds. The park opens at 8 for EMH which would mean the boat would have to be running very early! So I was wondering if the boats run that early on those days?

Also can you buy park tickets at the Resort? I don't want to buy them at the gate.

Thank you!!!!:flower3:

I don't know about the boats becaus e we rarely get up before 10. But I did buy park tickets for some guests at the front desk at the Outpost in December.

We usually go to the park that had EMH the day before. EMH days are too crowded :)

The MK boats start running about 1/2 hour before line drop, including EMH days. If you really want to get there earlier, do as clkelly says. Go to FW Landing about 7:00 (if EMH is 8:00), catch the small boat to Contemporary, then walk through the Contemporary, go to the right outside & take the walk path to MK.

We sometimes do the early EMH at some of the parks, but we are always there long before line drop. Many WDW guests straggle in late on EMH mornings, but it will get crowded soon. We will hit some of the rides until it gets crowded, grab a bite of breakfast, then go to a different park.

It has been a while since we did the EMH morning at MK, I much prefer the evening version, but I am almost certain the boat starts 30 minutes before the EMH. That is the ONLY way to get to MK so they have to make allowances for that day. The Contemporary boat does start earlier for those breakfast ressies at Chef, but I don't know if you really need to be standing in front of MK any earlier than the regular boat will allow. Just be in line at the dock at 7:15 and you will have no problems.

It has been a while, but there was a spot to buy tckets at the settlement, one of the first things you get to when walking up from the bus stop. I doubt they will be open early, but you should be able to get there the day before.

We allways buy our tickets at the window around the corner from the HDDR
