Hi, am looking for info on an add-on at HHI. I have several ?'s so I apologize if this is too long!
1-Is the Point price at $75 or do they have MB still? If so what is the criteria? Still 50 points or more?

2-Deposit-When I make a deposit, may I reserve a Room then?
When is the deposit due? After I hang up the phone, or 10 days out ,or when I close? I do not remember from buying BWV-sorry

3-When is closing from when I called? 4 weeks, 6 weeks?

4-When do the payments start after the phone call? Do the payments start right after closing or 2 months after I place the call to buy?

Sorry so many questions, trying to time the payments out, you know Christmas, etc, trying to get a guestimate......

The point cost is $75, but HH and VB still have MB at $10 per point for purchases of 50 points or more.

The other questions are probably better answered by your guide as some will depend on the timing and current busy status of the program itself.

Generally, you can make reservations once you have paid your deposit. The deposit is due when you decide to purchase the add-on- that is your decision.

Closing and payment schedule will depend on DVC's timetable- so you better ask your guide for help with those questions.

Deerh - We are in the process of doing an addon at HH right now.

If you charge the points, they do it right away - before closing - kinda goofy!

If you use MB (you give away your current years points), you may not borrow points from the next use year until closing.

Closing is 3 weeks form when they get all the docs back. They wait 15 calendar days for you to change your mind.

You also pay dues form the date you write the contract - not from the date of closing. (Also strange)

I just called my guide to do an add on at HH. He said that they insist that it be the same use year as any other contract you have. Also there was some time restriction if you used MB. It was something about 6 months from your use year. Since I did not take MB I really am not sure. Make it a point to ask your guide. Also, even though you lose your points for the first year, you still pay maintainence on them.
 
The reason they want 6 months or more left in the use year for MB is to have time to rent them out. As noted, you cannot borrow points until you've actually closed. They will let you have a different use year only if your's is not available at all though I get the impression that you must press them hard to get one that is different.
