Do you have locks on your bedroom doors?

We moved around alot, and I didn't always have locks on the doors. I prefer them. As a former teen who graduated the hormonal turbulence of Puberty University, there were times when you didn't want parents walking in.

Other - I don't think any of our bedroom doors have locks. I presume the bathrooms do...honestly though it never occurred to me to look as I haven't needed them! Isn't it funny the things we do or do not take notice of in our homes!?!?!

I don’t even fully close my bedroom door, let alone lock it. The cat forbids it. 🐱

Yeah, we've always slept with our door open as well. Dog usually sleep on floor next to us but reserve the right to wander around in the middle of the night.

All of our bedrooms have locks on the doors. Every house I've lived in has had locks on the bedroom doors. I remember when DD was about 2-3 years old she locked herself in the bedroom. She was so upset and afraid she couldn't understand what I was telling her to do. I couldn't find the little 'key' to unlock the door so ended up taking the knob off from the hallway to get her out.

100+ year old house all the bedroom doors have skeleton key locks but the keys were long gone before we moved in.

All bedrooms and bathrooms have locks. Same in every house I've lived in.

we all have locks.. and all use them as we see fit.... but our bedroom and my college student daughter's doors also have cat holes in the bottoms so Miss Tansy can came and go as she pleases ....

I don't have a problem with locks on doors, it becomes a problem when kids either start playing with them (personal pet peeve) and if they deliberately and consistently lock me out and refuse to answer the door. Everyone needs privacy sometimes.

I've always found it hilarious that my oldest is the kid who is the most protective of his personal space and privacy, because he is also the kids who will barge into any closed door without a second thought. Lol, gotta love Aspies!

I chose other. I wouldn't go out of my way to install them, but if the doors had them, I wouldn't feel the need to remove them.

No locks on any of the interior doors here, except the door to the basement. I don't think there have been locks on any of the doors in any of the houses we've owned, either. There was a lock on the bathroom door of the house in which I grew up- the kind that you can pop open with a nail or skewer. That never made sense to me; if it's that easy to unlock, why bother to lock it in the first place?

We only have it on our master bedroom probably as there is one one our ensuite . I always found that odd. they can’t come into our room but you can barge into our bathroom . 😂 Growing up none of the bedrooms had locks.

That is the problem we had. 100 year old locks with no way you could unlock them if they were accidentally locked. I got new reproduction door sets without locks.

Totally! I was about to say no when I realized:

All bedroom (and bathroom) doors have locks with the round hole, so they can be opened if needed.
Our house came that way

This is great! We have one in our basement door for the same reason. The cats need to be able to go downstairs, but I didn't like leaving the door open because it blocks "traffic flow" in the kitchen.
