Like a young family who just had new baby. Or other reason to bring someone a meal (after surgery or death in family...etc). In particular, kid friendly. Ideally, can throw together in 1 dish/pan and they can cook or freeze. Can post kid friendly and not really particularly kid friendly ones too (just to have more variety posted and for someone needing to make a meal for older family or older folks or people without kids).

in our house-pasta bake. pene (or any pasta) cooked and tossed with maranara, shredded cheese, sliced pepperoni and (the easiest way) banquet microwavable meatballs (microwaved prior to adding). heat at 400 for 20 minutes to warm/melt cheese. cook in aluminum dollar store pan that can be tossed into freezer/oven/trash. kids and adults seem to like.

kid friendly? my kids were never fans of 'meatloaf' but they liked 'meatball loaf'-same recipie but add more garlic, italian seasoning. instead of catsup, top with marinara. serve w/garlic bread.

old standard homemade mac & cheese but we doctor it with bacon bits, i've known others to use hot dogs. i've known some to top it with a layer of precooked chicken nuggets as a 'crust'.

The family freezer has a lot of good recipes and many of them can we converted to one pot or frying pan easily.

One pot lasagna soup: https://carlsbadcravings.com/easy-one-pot-lasagna-soup/

I omit a few of the ingredients (red pepper flakes, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and balsamic vinegar) and I use ground turkey instead of ground beef, but it's really simple and really delicious! I also don't use the broken lasagna noodles, I usually use small shells or some other kind of noodle.

1# beef stew meat, 1 can Campbell’s golden mushroom and I can Campbell’s French onion soup. Brown stew meat and add to crock pot along with soup. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over egg noodles along with a vegetable. (Green beans, roasted carrots are great sides)
I always think lasagna is fast and easy too.

In a baking dish layer frozen tater tots, grated cheese, crumbled sausage or browned hamburger.

Add other ingredients as you'd like---- diced onion and bell pepper, gravy on top, etc.

It's not a crock pot meal but when I had a toddler and a newborn the friend who brought me a fruit salad was my favorite person since I felt like I didn't have time to cut fruit but wouldn't pay the price for pre-cut at the store.

I always brought chicken salad (with grapes, celery, mayo, s&p, and a nut if the family could have it), coleslaw or pasta salad, fresh fruit salad, and a fruit-filled homemade muffin (so there was an easy snack or breakfast for the next morning)...it was a dinner fully out of the fridge with no work, and had enough kid friendly and parent friendly elements to make everyone happy (and it wasn't too pricey, b/c my fruit choice always was sale-based...although I never did melon b/c I hate melon:))...
