S.O.C.K. and Stitch Return to the World with a Dog **New 6/14** Day 8/9 The End p. 19

Loving all the photos Carissa-especially that one of the "fake guiness! :rotfl2::rotfl:

The cabins really do look like a lovely place to just relax and hang out at :)

Any word on the job front? Hope you get some good news soon :goodvibes

It was a yummy fake Guinness! :)

Actually, I got a call today from the WIC office that they want me to come in tomorrow morning and sign my application? Seems a bit weird and I'm hoping a job offer comes with it. I'll keep you posted. Chuck has his interview on Friday and we're pretty hopeful about that one.

Glad to see Baxter was eating again.
I must be so nasty as I would have said something to the lady. Glad he was okay.
The dog park looks so cute.
I prefer the bigger pics. My eyes are bad.
All caught up. Will catch up again when I return from Aruba.

Have a great time, Scott! :cool1:

All they wanted me to do was sign the application. So I continue to wait. Chuck has his interview today, though, and I have a good feeling about it. :thumbsup2

This will be a quick update as Saturday was a quiet day with few pictures. Originally we planned to head to Clearwater Aquarium on this day (Saturday). But we decided to skip it for several reasons. One of those was money. With my husband retiring from the Navy and not having a job lined up, we were trying to keep our expenses down. Another reason was wanting a down day at the resort. We were all starting to feel tired (and me sick) and looked forward to a morning where we didn't have to rush to get anywhere. Plus, part of why I let us all stay out late the previous night was knowing we could sleep in.

And we did! We all slept until 8. We made pancakes and bacon for breakfast and had a lazy morning around the cabin. In addition to my cold, I woke up with a migraine. Lunch was grilled cheese sandwiches. After lunch, Chuck and Sully headed off to go fishing and I took the younger two over to visit Baxter.

When we got back, I took the boys to the Meadows pool, which is the main pool for the resort with a slide. It was packed.

Owen liked the slide at the pool, but overall it was too crowded and the boys preferred the quiet pool by our cabin. We headed over to the Trading Post and I bought the boys ice creams.

Here's a picture Chuck took of Sully fishing:

We went back to the cabin and my migraine was gone. :cool1: It was a beautiful day. We made pizzas for dinner. The boys wanted to swim again so we headed over that way and I brought along our dirty laundry to do while we were there (the laundry building is right next to the quiet pool).

And a few pictures of the laundry building:

That's all I have in my notes so we probably went back to the cabin and watched tv until bedtime.

Since this was so short (and since it goes so fast not re-sizing photos!) I'm going to do another update in another post.

Sorry you weren't feeling very good... sounds like a day "off" was just what you needed.

By the way - if you haven't already uploaded all of your pictures to PB, you can now change one of the settings to upload to smaller sizes. :thumbsup2

I hate you weren't feeling good. I'm a migraine sufferer and I know how horrible they are. I'm so glad it passed. I had one yesterday and it's finally gone, just woke up (today) lol.

I like those unplanned days, always the best.

Neat that the laundry room is even themed. I've been in other laundry rooms and that one is definitely more rustic, campy looking.

Happy Memorial Day to you and yours and many thanks for all the service given!

Today was Studios day! pixiedust: We were up at 7 and arrived at the park around 8:30. Opening was supposed to be at 9, so we were surprised to see it already open. I was afraid I'd messed up the times, but a CM assured me they'd just opened early that morning. This was awesome! An unannounced early opening makes for a quiet 30 minutes with no wait.

We did stop for a few pictures since there were no lines.

We immediately headed to TSM. Sully rode alone, Chuck and Connor together, and Owen and I.

And I had the high score out of everyone:

We grabbed fastpasses on our way out and then headed to RnRC. Chuck decided to go with Sully since he'd never been on it before. I had no desire to ride again!

Then it was time for MY favorite!

I had to bribe Sully to go on it with me. I told him if he rode it, I'd buy him a ToT pin. He agreed. Unfortunately, he didn't enjoy the ride. He, who normally has a tummy of steel, felt sick afterwards. It was probably my least enjoyable time riding it. we sat in the back left corner and I just didn't enjoy that spot for some reason.

Anyway, I bought Sully his pin, and a sprite to settle his stomach and we headed off to meet up with the rest of the family. Chuck had taken them to Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area, which was nice and quiet.

We headed over to Star Tours so they could all ride. I'd done the new version on my previous half-marathon trip and that was enough for me. I got a bit motion sick on it. Then it was time to do TSM again!

A few pictures along the way:

When we finished, it was time to head over to Sci Fi for our lunch.

Up Next - Day 7 Part 2

I have already uploaded all of my pictures (I used the app on my phone and uploaded each day on the trip) but good to know! :thumbsup2

I was glad I had the migraine on a down day.

Thank you! :goodvibes

A quiet resort day sounds like just what you needed. I'm glad the migraine didn't last too long. :)

I love the Phineas and Ferb pics! My boys were SO excited to meet them! Even my big 18 year old boy! ;)

Congrats on the TSM win! Go MOM! :thumbsup2 It's too bad Sully didn't like TOT...but you don't know until you try! He's a good sport.

Strange how you can have a great ride one day and it is "meh" on another. :confused3 How exciting to get that extra 30 min because the park opened early!

It took me a long time to learn that one "quiet" day with nothing planned is essential for every Disney vacation. :thumbsup2

I was glad he tried it (with some bribing), but I really thought he'd like it. Oh well. :(

Even though we don't do full park days, that day off was still needed. Most days we were back in our cabin by early afternoon, but between visiting the dog and just being tired from all that walking, the rest was needed.

Still here and enjoying! :)

My fav pic so far is of Sully with the Sully horse's nametag. Cute. :)
