Hi Gang

I need some expert advice regarding the Dolphin's club level. I'm about to book at the Dolphin for 10 nights in June on the club level (royal beach club). I phoned yesterday and got a great rate.

However when I requested club level she said no problem but I also told her that I wanted a resort room view for myself, DW and DS5. She said that she would just put it in the notes and would request it. HUH?? I was talking with reservations?? Why can't she just check to see if a resort room view is available and book me in?

Can someone please tell me what is going on? I don't want to pay $$ for a club level room and find myself in a room with a crummy view looking at a parking lot. I also want to book this ASAP so I get all the nights I request.

Thanks,
Andy

I don't know how to help you, but I do have a ?..... What is your "great rate"? We would love to stay at eithe the Swan or Dolphin with my parents, and our dates are extremely flexible. TIA!!!! ;)

Room assignments are made at the time of check-in. They can't determine this far ahead of time who will be in what room on what date--the logisitics and chances of rooms being booked into over-lapping stays by different people, or else, sitting empty, waiting for your arrival, when it could be used, is overwhelming!
There are several rooms with "good views"...you really need to quit worrying about this.
I promise you they will do their very best to acomodate you.

Uhh...you do realize, of course, that a "resort view" room at the S/D means a room that looks at areas of the S/D resort, not necessarily the parks, right???

What are your dates at the Dolphin? We will be there in June, also.

Thanks for the tips! I know I need to stop worring.

We're from Ontario so any trip to WDW for us is an expensive one. I just want the best possible stay for my wife and son (5) that I can possibly get. Call my picky but I want the best for my guys. However I know when I get there I'll be so excited that any room will be great.

Thanks for the tip regarding resort view is not necessarily an Epcot resort view. I never thought of that and never made the connection. We were just spoiled at our last stay at the Swan. :)

We're going from May 29th to June 9th. What about you?

A.
