?'s about the refillable mugs at the resorts

I have heard some talk about the refillable mugs at the resorts and that they are a good buy. How much are they? Are they just for foutain drinks at your resort or can you get fountain refills for free in the parks too? Any dtails would be great!

We got our refillable mugs at the Polynesian for $11.99 each. You can only get refills at your resort, but the mugs are now the same at all of the resorts and I don't think they are enforcing the "must be refilled at your resort only!" rule very much.

when we got ours last fall it was 12.00.......good deal for us as it includes.....all our morning coffee or cocoa or hot tea.....tea assortment is great......also all the coke product sodas.....even raspberry iced tea ......
You can only use it at your resort for the length of your stay.....and not in any of the parks....

Even though the mugs are only refillable at your resort, they still are a great deal. They are also a great souvenior for when you get home...I've used a few of them for my coffee in the morning at work. It always makes me smile when I look at it!

We get refillable mugs the minute we arrive and generally feel that we make up the cost of the mugs before the first day is even over, the way my wife and I drink coffee....definitely worth it to us and great souvenirs....we use ours all the time at home too....

i thoiguht I read on this board that people used their refillable mugs at any of the resorts and no one seemed to mind.

We got them the first couple of years that we went but last year we didn't being on the DDP and we didn't miss them at all. Now this year I will get them because I'm running out of them at home (I use them everyday with my tea in the am for work)they are leaking and I'm down to my 2nd last one. So I must get more because were not heading to WDW now for awhile. Because this year I will be buying them I will make sure I use them more often then last year. I usually use them for hot chocolate when we return from a day at the park or in the am waiting for the crew to get ready for a day in the park. The price has gone up now to $12.99 but well worth it.

The mugs are around $13 and they pay for themselves within a day or two. We always get mugs because we fill up before we hit the parks and after we return from the parks. They are refillable at the resort in which it is purchased but not in the parks.

We always get them and love them. Now, I have to tell you that I am CHEAP, but I think the mugs are a great value. We get coffee every morning, the kids get all the soda they want (only on vacation ), and there's no standing in line to pay for r quick drink. You just go in and fill it up yourself. I, too, use them at home every day to take coffee to work. They are a great invention!

I have a friend who will soon be retiring. He is taking a trip to WDW. As part of his retirement gift I wanted to get me a refillable mug (one for him and one for his wife) along with some mouse ears (for fun) and Disney Dollars.

If I purchase a mug while at WDW, will he be able to use it when he gets there? (I'll be there in May and he's going in Aug.). I won't be using the mug and then giving it to him, it is strictly a gift.

I don't have the exact numbers but I think it depends on the size of the cup you pick.

If it's included on the soda machine then yes you can have iced tea.

I bought the mugs 3 years ago, and we saved lots of money with the free refills. I usually have 2 cups of coffee in the morning so that worked great that way. My granddaughter had her juice in the morning, hot chocolate on the way to the park and when we came back for her to swim, she got her favorite iced tea and I either had a soft drink or juice..we also, got something to drink on our way back to the room when we returned at night...yes you can have tea in your refillable mug. I must say tho, this time I will take dish soap to wash the mugs out every night..coffee and juice just don't taste the same

Technically, no. There are signs posted by the mugs that state they are good for the length of the trip that they were purchased on at that resort only. Better way would be to give him a photo and the cash to buy the refillable mugs.

At OKW we just got back with mugs and we were able to get fresh brewed ice tea (right next to the soda machine). That's all we wanted anyhow..

One of the advantages of the mug that I don't hear mentioned very often is not having to wait in any lines to get a drink when the food courts are busy. I liked being able to fill up my coffee mug in the morning without having to get in any lines. I also like making my special Disney "faux-mochas" 1/2 nasty coffee 1/2 hot chocolate. I don't love their coffee, but it is a necessary evil and the hot chocolate is fantastic! I highly recommend this combination!! We even got a mug for DS this trip and he loved it! I really like getting the mugs, but I wish they would go back to the old resort specific mugs so I could add some variety to my collection. I have enough blue YOAMD mugs now!!
