I just booked a trip January 4th-11th at Boardwalk. We have never stayed there before. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions about the hotel and are there and night life activities? We have a pool view room also does anyone know if those rooms are far from where the buses pickup? Thanks.

Boardwalk Inn or Boardwalk Villas?

Yep, the villas can be a hike to the bus stop. Some guests will hop the bus at the Swan and get off at the Swan as well since you just walk across the bridge to get there.

The pool view rooms aren't real close to the bus stop and depending where your room is it could be far. If you have a studio, there is a small area on the boardwalk side called the Village Green that is close to everything.

There's a thread with alot of BWV info:

See Granny's picture. The pool is in the center red area. The bus stop is over on the right next to the driveway.

So that would be one of the red lined areas on DebbieB's photo above including the Village Green area (the short red line on the outer side of the building).

Getting off the boat/bus at Swan/Dolphin is most definitely faster to get back to BW. Enjoy your stay! :goodvibes

My family and I love staying at the Boardwalk. The atmosphere is fantastic with lots to do day or night. The bus transportation from Boardwalk is NOT fantastic. It shares with Beach and Yacht Club and is often slow. That being said, the fact that you can take a boat to The Studios and Epcot or just walk to Epcot makes up for it.

The buses share with the Beach, Yacht, Swan & Dolphin. At peak times, by the time the bus gets to the Boardwalk, it's packed. Also with no place to eat inside the resort, if it's raining you are going to get wet getting something to eat. As a previous poster stated, I would walk over to the Dolphin to get on the bus. We stayed at the Boardwalk last summer in a DVC studio. I would not stay there again.

We've stayed there twice and we only ever shared with Swan and Dolphin. Yacht and Beach have their own bus. They may share among all for DTD, but there are definitely separate bus stops at MK for BW/S/D and Y/B.

It's a wonderful resort. The Boardwalk is so great, the restaurants are nice and the whole area feels wonderful. Love grabbing a beer at Big River Grille and sitting out on the BW people watching!

I was there in late April/early May. Only took the bus to MK. It was always just Swan/Dolphin.

We have stayed at the BWV every Sept since 2008 and LOVE it. It is our absolute favorite place to stay. The energy on the boardwalk is amazing especially in the evening. We have always shared a bus with BC/YC and Swan and Dolphin( we do go in an off season). As others have posted we always walk to the Dolphin to use the bus and boat to DHS. We have stayed in pool view rooms and standard view. The pool view rooms have always been closer to the elevator for us. Again we love this resort. I honestly can not say anything bad about it.
