So we will be staying here in April in a 1 bedroom and I was looking to find out how many floors the buildings have? We will have a car so if we happen to get a building a ways from the main building and want to use the main pool is there a place where we could park in stead of walking?
We are also looking for a section that has a quiet pool area with a good view and close to the boat to DTD any suggestions? I thought I read somewhere that the walking path to DTD is closed while they are doing construction, is this true?

Thanks

Springs section is by the main pool, food, and boat dock.

Congress Park is by the quiet pool and floating walkway to Disney Springs.

4 floors if I remember correctly.

The walkway bridge is complete. We always stay in Congress Park because we love the quick walk to DTD.

The Grand Stand has its own pool and hot tub. While not quiet it is rarely busy. It's an easy 5 minute walk to the boat dock.

Congress Park would be best for DTD. Theres a quiet pool there. 4 floors for the buildings I'm pretty sure. And both the bridges are done now. The one from Congress Park area of SSR was done in late Aug/Early Sept of 2014.

Congress Park will best meet your needs for view and quiet pool. You won't be near the boat to DTD, but you could walk there. It's also a good spot to still get a seat on the busses to the parks (the Springs bus stop is last and always the most crowded)
I just returned today from a stay in the Carousel section, I hated it- too far from anything, but I was close to the bus stop, so it wasn't pure torture. I've also stayed in Congress Park, the Grandstand and the Paddock. The Grandstand was my favorite, we were overlooking the pool, there was a mug refill station right at that pool, and the laundry was right there (we had a studio) and we were also a short walk from the Carriage house, the DTD boat dock and the bus stop was a short distance from our villa too.

Thanks everyone for your ideas...I was also wondering if there was parking available for us to use if we are booked into a building far from the Carriage house and want to drive over to use the main pool or basketball court...

There is some parking near the Carriage House, but I believe it is labeled 30 minutes.

Honestly, nothing is that far of a walk from the Carriage House, or you can always grab a bus. Most have their last stop near the Carriage House before they leave the property. One bus (maybe DTD?) starts near the Carriage House, so we grabbed if going back to our room (and not walking). Ask the Concierge or the bus drivers about the routes. I wouldn't try to park up by the Carriage House all the time.

There's a decent sized lot on the side (near the DVC preview center) and behind the Carriage House in front of the boat dock. I'm not sure if it was labeled 30 mins.
