I just booked a PS for CRT this June 21. We're scheduled for a lunch time since the hours have been extended to include lunch hours with Cinderella (as of June 10, 2005).

My question is: has anyone eaten in the castle for lunch? How was the food? I'm thrilled about being able to do a CM with the princesses during the lunch hour b/c our kids are not big breakfast eaters. After a few hours at the park, they'll definitely work up an appetite for a hearty lunch! I know you pay for the "atmosphere" but I thought we'd get "more bang for the buck" with eating lunch... they'll have salads, entrees and desserts. Mmmmmmm.....

We've eaten dinner there. The food is good, but I definitely feel you're paying for atmosphere. It's worth it, though! Enjoy!!

We always used to eat there, but that was back in the day when they called it King Stefans Banquet Hall. The food is good but I agree you pay for the "castle." They used to have some really really good punch there I remember and the food was themed Mideivally (sp).

We ate lunch there recently and were very pleased. Yes, you are paying a little extra for atmosphere, but my husband was still raving about his pasta dish after we were back home! We didn't do the character meal, but this should give you some idea...a link to the menu: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_crl.htm

we ate there last trip and were impressed..
it had improved since out previous trip some years ago..

What time is your lunch PS? I'm wondering if they've extended the lunch hours now that it will be a character meal. I believe it used to be no lunch seating until 1:00 (with last breakfast seating at 11:15).

I took a look at the menu items, do they have anything available for the children? Everything on that menu was more for the adults.

Thanks!

Yes, there is a kid's menu too. They have it online and allearsnet.com.

We ate lunch there 2 years ago and thought it was soooo great. The kids (sis and DS) both had the special "virgin" drink in the takehome glass. It was yummy and both thought quite special - they came with a twisty straw!

I had stuffed shrimp which was quite good and DH had a pasta or burger (don't remember). DS had the WDW mac & cheese.

We had a great time and it was nearly EMPTY! :cool1: It was early Nov (jersey week) and a lovely day, we probably ate lunch at about 11:30 (considered an off time I believe).

HTH and enjoy!
