The cast:

Paul, 37 years young - a fully paid-up Disneyaholic
Helen, younger in years and looks - the most organised member of the family
Ryan, 5 months old - a Disney fan in the making

The plane makes good time and we land at Gatwick around 9.15am. Ryan managed to sleep most of the way, apart from a couple of periods of turbulence where we needed to take him out of the skycot.

Unlike our outbound experience in Orlando the suitcases, car seat and stroller all turn up fairly quickly and we walk through a deserted customs area. Helen makes a last-minute duty-free purchase whilst I phone the car company to let them know we’re back. We head out to the set-down area and five minutes later our car arrives. Shortly after this we’re driving out of the airport, our travels over for another year.

If you’ve been good enough to read through all of my ramblings for this report you’ll have realised that we had a wonderful time with many high points. However, without doubt the best bit was looking at Disney through our child’s eyes and thinking of all the wonderful holidays still to come. We are due to go back in May 2004 and will be taking my mum along so she can spend some time with her grandson and hopefully create a few more magical memories.

I've scattered a few links of photos through the report, but if you'd like to see some more, please take a look at our website.

Thanks for reading,
Paul, Helen and Ryan :wave2:

Paul

Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Ryan had a wonderful first trip and the photos were gorgeous :)

Just wanted to say I've read all the reports and they're wonderful :) You sound like you had a wonderful time. We go back in just under 3 weeks time and reading your reports have gotten me really excited :bounce: I hope your trip in May is just as good.

Thanks guys - it was a lot of fun writing the reports and remembering the whole trip, especially when faced with the cold British winter outside :D

Have a great time at Pop Century Anz - it looks like a really fun resort from the outside. Isn't it great to be excited in advance about the trip? Our fun-in-the-sun passes arrived on Monday and Ticketmania had included a set of the latest park maps, so that has really upped our level of enthusiasm for May already :D

Paul

Excellent trip report, sounds like you had a fantastic time :) I'm now even more exctied about going in October next year (if that's at all possible!) than I already was.

Thanks Jo - i've got to say that it was the likes of yourself and Kaylee that inspired me to have a go at keeping a proper diary (well, a few notes anyway :D) and then writing it up. It really is a wonderful way to re-live the trip later, and Helen has decided to print it all off and make it part of Ryan's first year baby book

Glad you're excited about next year - we've got four months to go and i'm already thinking about the holiday once or twice a day :D

Paul

I read all these trip reports and absolutely loved them. Thank you for taking the time to make them so interesting. Ryan looks a sweetie, and seems like a model baby. Ahhhh. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Carolyn

Paul,

Love your trip reports, we are hoping to go this year with our 2 kids (3 & 9months) can cannot wait.

Notice you live in Woking, so do we!!!

Nathalie

Thanks for the reports - enjoyed them!

Thanks for the kind words everyone - it's really great to know that people enjoy the reports. Our trip in May will also involve my 68-year old mother, who is a notoriously fussy eater, so the next set of reports may be a little different....:D

Hi Nathalie - it's a small world, isn't it (cue for a song!). Whereabouts in Woking are you? We're near Maybury Hill, about 10 mins walk from the station.

I'm sure your kids will love WDW - there were just so many things for Ryan to take in, even at 5 months. One of the things we didn't do last time that is on the list for the next trip is the petting zoo at Fort Wilderness. Ryan is just starting to become fascinated by our cat and my father-in-law's dog, so we think this might be a hit.

We live in Bisley, so not far away. We are planning to go this year to disney with our 2 kids, Amy is 3 and Joshua is coming up for 10mts, we plan to go end of Sept/Oct and this will be our first trip to disney with the kids. We have been so many times before, so will be nice to see it thur the kids eyes.
