Hi,
If you can have a rv and a tent on the same site is it
possible to have a rv and a popup?
Thanks

I've seen it done quite a few times. You just need to make sure all your equipment is either on the concrete or the coquina shell/sand pad (if on a full hook-up or preferred site), and that you have no more than 10 people staying with you.

Official rules say no, so you're taking your chances of being asked to rent another site.

I just don't picture how they would both fit well, especially if the RV has slides. I suppose if the PUP was put into the site first at the way back and turned 90 degrees. I'm just picturing my parents on their site with their 36' MoHo and trying to fit our tiny footprint of a PUP (15' bumper to hitch) onto the same site (and most PUPs are much bigger when open) Just seems like there wouldn't be a lot of room for chairs or awnings or anything.

Here are some visuals to help you out.

Some folks have put the PUP in front of the Motorhome:

I have seen it done many times.

I don't know of a single instance where management has said a thing about it.

A little too cozy for my taste...but thanks for the visual help, TCD!

Agreed. A bit too cozy for me as well.

But, I have seen better set-ups. The best set-up is to get the PUP turned on an angle as far back on the site as possible. Like the second set-up above. That site isn't as deep as some.

That seems to be pushing the rules a little too much to allow both on the site and expect nothing to be said about it. But, I have even seen a Super C on a site with a very small TT behind it (probably for his mother in law). It was only there for a about a day and a half, so I don't know if they left on their own accord or was asked to leave. I did look around the Fort to see if they were relocated, but they were not there. :confused3

Hi all,

I thought I had seen pics of this before. Thanks for
the replys.

I totally agree that it's pushing the rules to put 2 campers on one site but there are always those that try to push the limits just to get away with something. I guess the rules don't apply to them.

It shouldn't be a problem. Last Dec. we had a TT, popup and 2 tents on our site.

Just because you did it, and got away with it, does that make it the right thing to do??

I check with Fort management before we did it and we got the ok from Disney to do it no rules broken :thumbsup2

At this point, I don't think Disney cares what goes on a site. More bodies for a longer period of time equals more money for them. Chances are, the additional people may not have come to Disney if they could not share the rather large expense of a campsite these days. Most times that we have stayed at the fort, we had 2 tents behind our trailer. Those additional people probably spent an additional $5000 for the time they were there. They would not have come if they had to each rent a separate spot, if it was available. Times are lean and Disney will do whatever it takes to make that buck.
