Running from Reality..Lots of Photos and Live stuff to Come

Thanks for taking the time to post. Best get that tooth checked, sounds like a root canal to me - I had two this past year - ouch! We left right after you arrived. I'd say the crowds were manageable. Interesting that different parts of each park could be crowded or empty so many there on the same day had different experiences. Plus we found the parks empty in the morning but by early afternoon it was jumping!!! Anyhow, glad you got a new room.:grouphug:

I went to Centre Care last night. They picked me up in the van and brought me to the walk-in clinic to be checked because the pain was intolerable. They really didn't do anything there except take my word for the possibility of an infection and gave me antibiotics and told me to keep on the Tylenol. I had to pay out of pocket---$237.50 just to be seen by a Dr and then $90 for the script. Blood work and anything else is extra. They gave me all the forms to submit to insurance thankfully so hopefully I'll get some $$ back.

Right now we are sitting in the airport---Getting up @ 3:15 is rough! Especially when it is to end your vacation not start it BLECH! It is pretty chilly here and they say it'll be like that all weekend. Oh well, I'm going home to 20 degrees---so I don't feel bad.

We had Spoodles last night---I debated trying it and I am SO glad we did---It won't have ny photos in my TR (most dinners wont) since I was feeling so bad. We loved Spoodles and it is on my must do list for the next trip in August.

We didn't take as many photos this trip as I usually do--I chalk that up to how I felt. But I will do my best to get a TR up and running (with lots of whining from me lol) once I get home and snuggle the kids and TC. Boy have I missed them.

Time to relax and wait to board the plane.

What a way to spend the last night - I'm so sorry! Hope you're feeling better and that you had a quick, safe travel home.

We had a great flight home. Only 2 hrs 25 minutes---it was smooth and my head didn't feel like blowing up. THANKFULLY. But now I am home and I am going to the Dr today---I have been coughing to the point that I taste blood. Melissa went to the ER yesterday and she has bronchitis and an upper respiratory infection. We are both home sick --called out of work today MISERABLE. Figures after a week vacation. Im sure work thinks we are trying to prolong getting back.

Yes, I hope you are feeling better Michelle!

Thanks Buzz---Read above. We are pretty sick---but hopefully that means starting the TR today. We'll see how much I sleep---I plan to take meds and go back to bed. I haven't slept right in over a week!

Sorry your tooth hurt your whole trip! And that' you're sick now too! I hope you feel better soon!

Day 1 start!!

Ok so let's make an attempt to start Day 1...Some of the photos were already posted but it's all good---see them again ;)

I didn't get any sleep on Sunday night since my tooth was in so much pain but I posted here and passed time then layed down and relaxed for an hour or so finally getting up @ 4:10. Melissa gave a call at 4:20 to make sure I was up since the plan was for me to call her and I didn't and then I made my way downstairs to my moms house to see if she was moving. By 4:50 we were loading the car and heading to pick up Melissa who only lives 2 blocks away. I felt so nervous all morning because of my tooth that I brought a bag with me in case I got sick :(.

We arrived at Logan Airport within 40 minutes and I had to say goodbye to TC for a week :( We made our way in and got to the counter to check our luggage. We wondered if Tino and his family had showed up yet and couldn't wait to get to the gate to find out.

Easily through security we made our first stop at Starbucks (I have an extreme addiction )

then made our way to our
ry%3D400

and saw there was nobody there yet. If Tino's family showed they'd take up half the seats LOL.

ry%3D400

We snapped a couple of photos and I popped my Tylenol and Dramamine hoping I could rest on the plane.

ry%3D400

At 6:30 we started getting nervous because we had to board @ 7 and there was no sign of Tino or his family but moments later they arrived and told us their van driver was horrible. WHEW at least they made it.

Tino and his girlfriend Jess

We boarded and realized we were all sitting in the front of the plane and Melissa was seated with Tino's younger brother Chello. I think she scared that boy with her nervousness....She told him she was going to cry and squeeze his hand and he looked scared. There was a LOT of nervous chatter coming from her seat lol

The flight down SUCKED for me. (the flight itself was aweome, smooth, great attendants etc) I was in so much pain I couldn't bear it. I kept praying I could fall asleep and when I awoke we would be on the ground. No such luck. My tooth and ear felt like an explosion was about to happen. We landed 10 minutes ahead of schedule (I think we always do! LOL)
ry%3D400

and we made our way down to DME. The check-in line took about 10 minutes and Melissa and Momma Nails sat down to wait for me. When I turned back to them they had company---14 people to be exact. Tino and his friends/family. Wish I got a picture of them!

The CM's were friendly
ry%3D400

and got me on my way quickly and we immediately boarded the bus (where I ALWAYS sit in the last seats) and waited about 20 minutes for them to fill the bus---Tino and his family again took up half of it lol.

First stop Pop and then we finally make it to CSR. At this point I was near tears and needed Oragel or something right then and there so we stopped in the store and I bought "Dentapain" later known for its name to ring true (when Id put it I would get severe shooting pains for a few minutes following and then it would stop).

We headed to the check-in desk and there were just a few people ahead of us. We chatted with a manager who asked if we had ever stayed there before and made sure we were happy during our wait.
This is what I had to say last Monday after check-in:
so we got to CSR today rather quickly with no hold-ups. When we got to the desk to check-in we saw Luisito from last year and chatted with him for a minute---he is so sweet. The girl that helped us (Annette) was amazing...She said our room wasn't ready but she would find us a room---a RENOVATED room with water view. So we ended up in Cabanas 9A . We have a great view.
LOVE the new rooms!

We dropped off the carry-ons and headed to the Pepper Market and all got Fajitas for lunch. Came back and I took some pain meds and we went to lay by the pool (started off on a hammock) where I fell asleep for an hour. Finally a bit of rest.

I had also mentioned that we were supposed to have a water delivery that appeared to be lost. I had my UPS confirmation that someone on the DOCK signed for it so we knew it was there---it was just a matter of getting someone on the phone who knew also!
Finally they found it and when it was delivered we are told there is a new company handling deliveries to the room and there is a $5 charge (expcted to go up and will depend on weight) for items (grocery delivery etc) to the room. I must have looked blown away because the woman said "you didn't know, we'll waive it this time". That was nice of her but kinda crappy about the new delivery fee. Still cheaper then buying water constantly in WDW though. (We bought from Costco a few days prior and paid $7 for the case with tax and shipping)

We started slowly getting ourselves together when out luggage showed up--which was really nice since we felt "grubby" from being up in the comfy clothes since 4am.

I have the rest of Day 1 typed up--just trying to add photos is taking awhile so I'll try later ;)

Thanks for stopping by Kristen. Things have been really rough---its one thing after another so having a trip where I was such a mess just added to it. Kinda stinky.

So I have photos also of the rehabbing of rooms ---what I could get without walking in and asking the guys to let me take a picture. The doors on the outside are scraped down of paint, the walls are being painted, new carpeting installed---the new beds are the most obvious and mattresses can be seen on the balconies. I am headed back to work now (after vacation and being out sick I am having a HARD time) and I will try and post them here and on the CSR FAQ thread.

Have a great day everyone!

Hope you are feeling better...my little one woke up the last morning we were there on Sunday with 102 fever and coughing and congested. Loaded him up with motrin all day...we didn't walk in our house til 11 pm that night so he was a real trooper all day dealing with that and a plane ride.

It is definitely soooo hard getting back to reality after a trip to Disney.

Looking forward to hearing your trip report!

Besides a deep cough I am feeling MUCH better--I even worked yesterday--made me want to book a trip immediately though--lol.

Can't wait!

Hopefully I'll get them up today---I have the day off :)

Poor thing! I know how hard it was for me to be sick on vacation but its so much worse when it is a child!

I am going to try and work on my report some more today. Thanks for reading ;)

I just posted this over on the CSR thread. Just wanted to post it here for all of you CSR fans ;)

We took a stroll over by
ry%3D400

on several occasions to see what was being done...We walked right up to one of the doors but the men inside working looked at us funny so I didn't take their photographs ;)

But I stepped back and got a few of the rehab being done.

Ok, so I hope everyone hasn't left me. My report is going to come to an end here with just a video of some of our photos from the trip. A little about why I have had a hard time writing this report.

I mentioned in post #1 that I had some major family drama. I guess it is time to fill everyone in. Let me start by saying that 2008 was bad and 2009 doesn't look too much better YET.

In July I put my 16 year old boxer down. Then we went on our August trip with my friend and her family and while we had a GOOD time, it was filled with drama when her boyfriend jumped on a plane and came back home on Day 4. Then I returned home to get a staph infection---which I thought cleared but it came back as MRSA. In October my diamond fell out of my ring I got in Disney (Le Cellier) and I replaced it. November another diamond fell out and I no longer have an engagement ring. December a tree fell on my car and then TC's grandmother passed away. Just when things calmed down and Xmas was nearing....

December 20th my brother woke me by calling. I didn't get the phone in time and within moments (he lived across the street) he was standing in my computer room pointing a gun at me. He isn't allowed to see his children due to some "dead beat dad" issues and he found out I visited them a few times and didn't tell him. Wouldn't have been that big of a deal but he was high and drunk at 8 am and decided shooting me would solve his problems. Luckily within minutes of yelling he decided to turn the gun away . An arguing match started between him and TC and I ran for the phone dialing 911. Within 3 minutes he was outside walking away from my house and he learned I had called the police. He took off running and the State Police found him in a codo complex nearby. I went to his arraignment and got a restraining order in the event he was released. The gun wasn't recovered but they still held him. I had to stand before him and say I was afraid for my life. Hardest thing I have ever had to do. He looked sad and confused ( he swears he doesn't remember any of it) and it broke my heart to have all the feelings I had. I felt hate and disgust and fear.

He was released Monday. The case was dismissed and I have learned he moved about 3 blocks from me. We haven't spoken since it happened but my mother has close contact with him still. I don't think he is actively looking for revenge---but he has an addictive nature and he WILL go back to drugs and alcohol and who knows whether I will be the first thing on his mind in a fit of rage. He is my brother and I know somewhere deep down he isn't the person I saw that morning standing before me.

I took my January trip knowing I NEEDED it. Knowing that it was my "getaway". That is why I titled it "running from reality".

Sadly I spent a good portion in A LOT of pain and unhappy.

So I felt that I needed to let everyone know what has been going on, since I fell off the boards.

Here is my Video: (Hopefully it works for you because it tells me it is "currently unavailable")

OK---I got the link to work, but now it is blurry when it goes through it...:(
