As per my above post, last nights class at the Y was less than stellar. I was disappointed that I didn't get the type of workout I usually do, I really felt cheated.

Planning on running tomorrow with the inlaws. Will do the same thing as before-run 2 miles alone then 3 with them.

I am still feeling terrible, so I skipped the run this morning. Cough is worse and I feel more stuffed up. But apparently being sick works for me, as I was down 1.4 lbs this morning on the scale. And I over ate yesterday. Go figure.

Well yesterday was terrible on a couple levels. I really felt yucky, took a 2 hour nap at 11am! Woke up and had lunch, then sat and relaxed for a bit. Then DH decided since it wasn't raining and was relatively nice out, we should go rake leaves in the backyard. So out we went. It was nice out and I felt okay. Then I didn't. He went to get a pizza and wings for dinner, I way overate again. I am still not feeling well, just so tired and woozy feeling. But I have to go to work today. No work=no pay. Next week my office is closed, so unless I get some temp jobs, I will be home for the week. Which is not a bad thing. I could get some serious running and gym time in.

Still not feeling well. Head hurts, stuffed up, just plum tired. No exercise, which is killing me.

I am not really counting points this week, just trying to stay close to plan due to this illness. I go from being ravenous to having zero appetite in a matter of minutes. Not being as bad as DH was, eating McD's and other fast food. I had a bowl of cream of potato soup and a hard roll for lunch yesterday, it didn't sit well. Hoping today is better.

Veronica:

Sorry to hear that you picked up the cold - and I hope it is nothing like the one I've been fighting the better part of a month now (completely sabotaged my weight - well, I'm blaming it all on the cold even it it didn't).

You've done really well with your losses since I've been away from the boards - feel good about it and pat yourself on the back more often. Cold or no cold, I do feel better when I'm outside, so your exercise and gardening might be a relief for you too.

Keep making those good choices,
Laurie

Still sick-I hate this.:headache: I am not one to lie in bed, even though I probably should. I can't take off work because if I don't go to work I don't get paid. Good thing is we are off next week, and as of now I haven't gotten any temp jobs. So I may have next week to get lots done, including some serious gym time.

Still no exercise also:headache:

I did not get a chance to post this morning as I was having computer issues. And using the netbook at work is hard because the keyboard is so small I have a hard time typing.

So here we are at Thursday, still no exercise, still feeling cruddy. But getting better.

I am not going to do points again until Sunday, I am not really keeping track, no point in writing everything down.

I am hoping to get out to run Sunday morning, I really need it. I am on vacation next week from work, and since no temp jobs have materialized.......well I get some days off. DH has decided to take off too, so we can do somethings together around the house and go out as well.

So this week was pretty bad with my being sick and all. I still have a bit of congestion, but am feeling much better. Tomorrow I am back to points and exercise.

Weight: 170.8, up 0.4 from last week. Not bad considering.

Today is DD's belt ceremony at TKD and we are going to the movies to see How to Train your dragon.

Veronica:

Sorry you still have the cold--mine is finally gone, except for the tireness; it took a full month! Two weeks is usually the norm.

You are so lucky your DH can have time off for Spring Break--mine is stuck working and now he's telling me that he may not get any time off this summer because of the upgrade schedule for the financial systems! I'm not amused. If I can't get a week (or two) at the cabin, I'm going to go stir crazy. I'm not sure he'd like it if the cats and I took off without him.

Please feel better; try some hot lemon (squeeze juice from one whole lemon, add drizzle of honey, fill mug with boiling water; sip it when it is just cool enough not to scald your mouth). It really helped with the sore throat and congestion.

Laurie

Veronica,

I think you passed the cold and sore throat over to Massachusetts!HA!HA!

I slept most of yesterday away.

Glad you are feeling better.Congrats to your DD

Linda

Thanks for checking in with me friends! I am feeling much better, still a little congested, but the absolute dead tiredness is gone.

Laurie-our spring break is the 5th-9th, DH has time he can take, so he is taking this week with me. Summer is always his worst time and he can't take off then at all. It is a nightmare for him to get off the Friday before Labor Day for us to go to CA.

Ran this morning 4 miles, slow but steady. Nice headwind both ways

It is a shame I can't sleep in on my vacation. DD still has to get up at 6:20 to get ready for school. I did lounge about a bit, but naps may be in order this week. Though DH has some big plans for the week, including painting the bathroom, yard work, and oh we may be getting another dog! We have a great doggy now, but we would like to get him a brother or sister. We have found a dog at the shelter (saw it online) where my fathers girlfriend volunteers. They are closed today, but she is going to have someone call me about the dog. We'll see. Just think of how much more exercise I will get walking 2 dogs!!

weight: up to 171.2 :confused3

points for today: 23 no exercise at present, may change later. Woke up with a headache.

Apparently the wheels are so far off the bus it ain't funny.

We discussed as a family getting a second dog. We looked at the adoption clinic at PetSmart where we got our dog. Nothing that interested us. Found a dog at the shelter where my fathers gf volunteers. Saw the dog yesterday, brought it home.

ALL HE!! BROKE LOOSE. The timid dog at the shelter went all Cujo when we brought her home. And oh yeah, hey NOT HOUSEBROKEN AT ALL, even though 1.5 yrs old. Not, I went outside and had an accident in the house, purposeful going in the house after having been outside. And would only poop on the garage floor. I got very little sleep last night as we were refereeing the 2 dogs all night long. Unfortunately we had to take the dog back to the shelter. I just think that we are not meant to be a 2 dog family, and the dog was sweet, just not with our dog.

So on the food and exercise front, all he!! has broken loose there too. It is raining so no running outdoors and with DH home and the stress level have lead to bad food choices. Tomorrow is another day, and I am hoping to get out to run and get back to it with the food.

Quick fly by here. Back to work today, has been interesting having time off with DH (lots of eating out unfortunately). He is off today with DD, so the bathroom project will get finished today (AMEN!!!)

Food, well I have been eating it, not been as good with my water as I should. Am planning to run long tomorrow and a short run on Sunday before I start cooking Easter dinner (we are having a barbecue). Then back to the regular routine on Monday, point counting and my regular exercise schedule.

These last 2 weeks have been nuts, first with being sick, then with the vacation. But it has been a nice little break, but I am ready to get back to business.

I planned to run 6 miles today, but only did 4.5 due to some gastrointestinal distress. All the eating of this last week finally got to me on todays run. My tummy is still kind of eh, trying to do better.

Run this morning was FABULOUS!! 4.5 in 52:14, 11:36 avg pace.

Food, lets not even go there. Planning to go back on plan Monday (tomorrow being the holiday, forget about it)

Happy Easter, to you and your family Veronica!

I'm so sorry about the almost adopted dog; we've been threatening the cats with a canine for years, but haven't actually gone and done it yet--we would need to fence in the backyard to be able to bring one home from the rescue organization that we've adopted Niko and Sasha from...but threatening does have it's advantages; we get better behavior for a few weeks when whispering the word D-O-G. BTW, we've only tried bringing kittens into the home with our older ones...I think it's harder for animals to establish a pecking order when both are a year or older.

I hope you are over the cold too--it took me a good month and now the alergies have kicked in...so much for feeling OK.

Enjoy your barbeque and don't feel guilty--you'll be back on track tomorrow!

Laurie

Thanks Laurie. I did enjoy the barbecue, am really full still (its 7:30pm, we ate at 2pm) I am totally exhausted after this week off and today was super busy getting ready and cooking. Everyone appreciates my efforts, but it is still a lot of work.

Ran 3 miles this morning, not fast (34:18) or well necessarily. I felt "off" as I really think my poor eating and dehydration have caught up to me. Tomorrow is back on plan with WW and exercise.

Weight today was 171.4, I am kind of maintaining, at least not gaining a ton.
Hoping that with the restart I can get a big drop this week.

Back to food journaling tomorrow.
