Hi everyone -
In Feb I had to stop running due to intense neck pain, I went to the dr and I am scheduled for surgery on 7/29. Although my dr says I will be able to do my very first 1/2 in 2010 - the Disney Princess 1/2 (which I already signed up for) I am reading alot on the internet that it may not be possible.
Is there anyone who has had cervical surgery who is still able to run, or do I throw in the towel??? I am only 34--
Here is the plan:
7/29 - ACDF on C4/C5 and corpectomy on C6 (donor bone); I will be in a hard collar and also have a bone stimulator too --- to insure fusion or help with.
Not only I scared, but I want to run --- I have 4 children and that was "MY TIME" for me - it was my escape --- I miss it dearly
