"Runner" for 4th Fastpass

So we are among the masses who got park hoppers because we are doing Free Dining in November. We have not had park hoppers since before FP+. We have two young boys. They can both nap decently in the double stroller if needed, but we will probably go back to the hotel to rest/nap almost every day, and then park hop to a different park in the late afternoon/evening.

On some days, we may use our FP+'s at the morning park, and then I assume we cannot book a 4th FP until we arrive at Park #2.

Would this be possible: while my wife is getting the boys down to nap, I go by myself to the other park, to book the 4th FP at a kiosk there? Then I would go back to the hotel to meet up with my wife, and we'd all head to Park #2 later.

For example, rope-drop MK, use our 3 FP+'s there, then we leave at 1 pm. Then I go to HS and get FPs for Tower of Terror, and then return to the hotel, where everyone will be resting in the hotel room.

This seems kind of like being a "runner" in the old Fastpass system (or b/w DL and DCA), but I was not sure it would work, since all of the members of our party won't be in Park #2 yet.

Or are there any other ways to book that 4th FP earlier in the day, before we actually park hop to Park #2?

Thanks. By the way, I am not sure we will ultimately want to do this, but if it is 70 degrees outside, doing a round-trip on the bus to HS without kids is about as relaxing as staying in the hotel room, anyway.

People have had luck having their resort concierge desk book their 4th for them. Of course, this only works if you are staying onsite.

The line for Tower can get pretty short in the evening. For example, my kids rode it 13 times in about two hours starting at 8 pm early last summer as there was literally no waiting.

It may not add a lot of value for you to make a special trip to the park just to book a FP for this attraction.

As PP said, we made our 4th FP for a 2nd park at the concierge during our midday hotel break. Very easy & convenient. :-)

I have no expertise in the value of doing this (i.e. Whether you get a good enough FP to make it all worthwhile) but you definitely CAN do it. You only need one person's magic band to go to the kiosk and make your new FP selection for your whole group.

Yes, concierge should be an option. The OP may find additional info covering FPs helpful in the green link in my signature.

Question - I know you can change your 4th fastpass on the phone once you've initially gotten it a a kiosk. Does that extend to changing the park or are you still limited to the park you booked it at.

Yes.

Only park it is booked in.

You can only change it to rides within the same park

ToT wait times can vary widely, especially if one of the elevators breaks down or is out of operation. It can be walkon and it can be an hour wait.

And yes only one person is needed to to select FP's for an entire group as long as they have the access to make FP's for them. So their in your friends and family group. You scan your MB and the names of everyone in your party come up

Since you reference bus transportation between the resort and the parks, I assume you're staying onsite. So you have the option to use the concierge at your hotel, which I would totally take advantage of in your situation. Running to another park "quickly" seems like a good idea on paper, but that "quick" round trip could take you two hours or more.

I did not know this! Thank you very much. Learn something new every day here at the DISboards. :)

OP here. Thanks to everyone, this completely answered my question and more! All posts were very useful.

I will definitely try the concierge (we are staying on site, as most assumed), but it is good to know I _could_ run to the "night park" and book a 4th FP for everyone, if it ends up making sense to do that.

Mesaboy2, your threads have been VERY useful for us, so this is a great chance to say thank you. I considered posting this question within your thread, but it ultimately felt more like a "stand-alone" question.
