To my fellow Dis er's
Everyone has been so helpful ...
I'm renting this week from National ( Tampa )
and I watched the Emerald club video...
Looks great for a buisness traveller.
What about the family of 5..
Can everyone take the shuttle from the airport , and can all of us go to pick out the car.. ( we have Emerald Reserve), or do the kids need to stay inside???I was really hoping for my husband to help pick out a car.I'm just thinking of 5 of us wondering around not sure where to go, ... LOL!
And do I have a choice on E R , like EI ? Or are the SUV down one isle , the minivans down another... ect.I booked an midsize SUV but would love an upgrade to a minivan , if available. Can I check the EI?
Can you tell I'm getting nervous. I really want things to run smoothly . We arrive late and the kids will be tired. This is my first time and I have heard such good things about National.
Any experiences you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

First thing......relax.

The whole family will take the shuttle to National. You go to the reserve section, pick out your car, load your suitcases and go out the gate. It couldn't be easier. The shuttle takes you to the lot which is actually on your way to WDW. If you are a member of EA your spouse can also drive, without showing a license or anything.

Good luck.

If you did a ER then you must take what you reserved, at least that has been my experiance. EA on the other hand you can choose whatever is there.

Has it changed to using a shuttle? Last year we had Emerald Reserve and we just went outside (walked by ALL those people standing in line at Alamo ... never again ;) )!! ... then we went outside and took the elevator up one level and walked to the EMerald Reserve Aisle. I didn't take a shuttle. I want to be sure if there is a change (because I too will then start to worry ... )

p.s. Last year dh and I went to pick out the van, while my mom and dad stayed with the girls in the a/c as it was warm and my youngest was napping in the stroller anyways. Plus we had to hook up our carseat, so we wanted to make sure we didn't have to do that with two kids waiting in the parking garage. AFter we had it all hooked up, we went and got them to come up. This year we don't have a carseat to hook up, we are just bringing our boosters and we'll all go to the garage together.
