RUN: National Rates for Nov/Dec down to $124.43

Hurry, just in case, to National!

My rate finally came down! It went from $146. to $124.43 weekly rate for EA Full size for one week and hourly is $20.74 and my reservation is for November 29 thru December 9.

My grand total with discounts is $178.96 for 10 days!

I'm so very happy!

Thanks for the tip. Were you able to use a coupon in addition to the DC contract? I just tried and got that *@#$% coupon capacity controlled error message. We are going Nov 23 Thru Dec 1. Without the coupon I will still save $10 off my current ressie - but I'd sure like the coupon savings as well.

Does anyone know if I call National directly will they adjust my existing ressie (which includes the coupon)?

For discounts, I used my Disney Club Contract number and then a $20 off coupon from Mileage Plus that came in the mail with my credit card.

That happened to me once too, hopefully, it's just the website acting up. I really don't know. It can't hurt to try and call and ask. Say you got your ressies over the Internet and then later got a coupon and was wondering if you could just show up with it and they will adjust it at the gate or maybe they could do it over the phone.

Or this could be happening because of black out dates??? Some coupons have restrictions/blackout dates so check the fine print of your coupon. It could be that you are renting on Thanksgiving weekend?? I really don't know.

There are several coupons out there you could try like if you belong to BJ's Wholesale Club, Sam's Club, Cosco, or if you have the Entertainment book etc...

DisneyKidds - I already had a reservation with a coupon, so I went and cancelled that ressie first, then went to book a new one, and the system took my coupon for the new reservation. If that's of any help to you.

Entertainment discount it comes to $118.20.

Thanks everyone. I tried several coupons and got that same #*@$%# coupon message. Finally, one of the Entertainment coupons worked. If anyone has been running into the coupon capacity control error - keep trying. 9 days, $162.14 - saved another $26. Thanks again.

Well. No luck for me. Still getting that freaking code error. I'm using the regular DC code & coupon. It's still $154 for Nov9 to 16 (incld everything). I'm ready to go with Hertz which is around $140 for everthing.

Sounds very expensive for a Compact car in Nov!!!

Thanks for posting! I too got a lower rate of $124 for full size for Oct. 24-Nov.3. Also used discount code and free day coupon.

Thanks for the heads up! I was just able to lower my rate for National EA by $24! We now have 8 days for $140.13 for Dec. 19-27 - not too shabby for a rental over the holidays. Thanks again!!

Well, I guess it pays to check this board everyday!

I check this board everyday a few times a day and it's paid off!

I also check National once a day, unless someone here tells me the rates gone down, then I go running over there again!

Last year I had a Intermediate for $172 for 8 days and thought that was cheap! Now I've got Full size EA for 10 days at $178. It's wonderful!

Thanks to these boards, we'll all get the best rate we can before we leave!

check out mousesavers.com. go to "ground transportation" then down to "national". There is a discount using the "disney vacations" link. I got a better rate using that over using the free one day coupon from disney.

I posted this on the Budget board, but incase some of use only check this board, this is what I got: (THANKS Beattyfamily!!)

11/22 - 11/26 (played with the time so it would be a weekly rental) Full size, EA, for $107!!! I used the disney vacation link/code and the DC contract # to get this rate.

Anyone getting the "message" about coupon control might want to try this code, too. It never hurts to try.

(i just ran 11/23 - 12/1 with this code and still came up with the message. Don't loose hope, though. I've gotten that nasty message the last 2 trips. With help here about rates dropping I still checked weekly anyway. Each time I was able to get past the message about 2 weeks before we left. )

At least Monday I was able to get a ressie for 125.00 and some change. I'm just used to paying under 110.00 for my rental, but *sigh* I guess 125.00 will be ok.
