Where's the best board to find info & ask questions about Run Disney events? Specifically I'm looking for info about events in DLR, but also general info about Run Disney events.

The fact I signed up for a half marathon, can someone point me to mental health page. :lmao:

I need the corral of the 'not so in shape.'

You are going to have so much fun! It is a wonderful experience.

As someone who just did the Wine/Dine, uhhh yeahhh. RunDisney puts on a hell of an event. But personally it confirmed for me that I don't understand distance running.

My issue is not the distance. I just haven't trained as much as I wanted with the passing of my father in-law. I just pray for no rain and mild temperatures.

I basically didn't train at all because I needed to lose weight first. Did 4.5 miles two weeks before, and 7.5 miles a week before. Ended up finishing in 2 hours, 23 minutes. Beat my goal of 2:30 :cool1:

Walk as much as you have to, but just go and kick it.... and then not be able to move for a few days ha.

Yeah.... I think your time will be way better than mine. Still, I did 10 miles yesterday (mainly walking) in 2 hours. Granted it's like 29 degrees..... ugh.

2:23 is awesome. I trained continuously for 22 months and didn't even run it in that. :faint: 2:20 is my ultimate goal for a Half but I'll have to have a few under my belt before I can get there.

For now, I use the Galloway plans, which will limit your speed somewhat, but they keep you strong throughout and feeling good at the end. Someone said to me about my finish pic with my medal "You look so HAPPY!" That's the point I guess, for me, so that I WANT to do it again!
