I am participating in Run Disney 2015 where should I stay for best access to marathon start finish area?

All of the Disney Resorts are serviced by extra shuttle buses throughout Marathon Weekend. No matter where you stay, there will be abus that will take you to/from the race. I would highly recommend that you utilize these buses as the traffic patterns will be thrown completely out of whack that weekend and it will be very difficult to get around with a car. However, if you must be as close as you can be to the starting line, since most of theraces begin at EPCOT, I'd stay at one of the EPCOT resorts....

Everything that has to do with Disney races is in the W.I.S.H section of this forum under events/competitions.As far as your question,many people feel the MK resorts are the most convenient to get to and from the starting/finishing lines at Epcot because they have the monorail running to Epcot.The Epcot resorts will be just like every other resort with shuttle buses running to the races,the starting line is in the Epcot parking lot but Epcot will be closed so you can't walk to the Epcot parking lot so a bus it is.For the marathon weekend in January every resort is a host resort and I've always stayed at the value resorts and the buses have always been constant so I've never had an issue,I've heard more people complain about the buses in the more expensive resorts.The buses start at 4:15 am for the 5K,3:30 for the 10k and 3am for the half and full.The buses also come and go from the resorts for the expo which you have to visit to pick up your bib and shirt.
