Why are we pretending like Disney is destroying atmosphere.

Okay, maybe losing the trolley won't sink DCA, but if the water and island in Disneyland goes, I'm out

Big Hero Six Land Re Fresh gave that land new life and no rides added

They added the Adventureland Tree house, makes them almost not money.

Bayou Country is looking to be an improvement from Critter Country.

HM and some of New Orleans are getting more theming as we speak.

Avatar Land is literally going to have a Water feature of some sort.

Disney has not announced anything in the slightest to make us think the Rivers of America are going anywhere, I'm upset about the Red Car as well but lets not pretend the future of the parks is worst. We are getting a new land for DCA and the Avatar Land in Florida is very loved by even none fans of the films and Avengers Campus needs an E ticket and another ride like we are getting to finally make the land feel complete. We are also getting a Coco boat ride, which I would think from how much love the Coco characters get on Parades and the yearly show will be a huge hit for DCA and hopefully somewhat be a people eater, which DCA needs another one of those.

While I do think we are a far cry from Disney parks losing their atmosphere and becomming like a Six Flags (even if they were to do ALL of the changes on the slate), the trend is a little disconcerting. It's really that combined with some other things, like loss of live entertainment offerings, lack of maintenance, etc. that give some of us pause. That said, Disney is still light years beyond most competition, so they have a looooong way to slide before it gets that bad. I just would prefer that the not slide at all - and I know they can figure it out - I know they have the money to do it. That's just a bit frustrating is all.

What if they changed the theming of the island? Pooh doesn't fit in Bayou Country. What if they changed Tom Sawyer's island to 100 Acre Woods and moved Pooh and Friends to the island?

Personally, that would be okay with me. It would still be a refuge from the busy atmosphere of most of Disneyland, with room for kids to run around.

I like that, although then, where will Davey Jones and the pirates live? Island may need a little bridge from 100 Acres Woods to the Pirates side

I'm okay without the Trolly, maybe, but Tomorrowland was ever the same after the People Mover stopped. A ride around the Park is one of the few pleasures that fully take in the "feel" of an area instead of just hoofing it yourself from point A to point B. If they added a couple of hand driven vehicles (like they have on Main Street) from the back of DCA to the front, that would be a cool and useful replacement.
