Rumor: Next Tuesday is the last day for the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich

Hopefully, new items are added and not taken away. I never got to try the sandwich as Critter Country was being refurbed. :(

This is one of my favorite sandwiches....I guess I'll have to be sure and get one while I'm there this week, just in case the rumor is true....

Okay with new items being added. Hope it's true that today is not the last day. Hopefully someone will let us know if they disappear tomorrow...

I love that sandwich, I always go first day for lunch to the Hungry Bear to enjoy it. I will be so sad if it disappears.

I've always wanted to try it but I'm allergic to mango :( Does anyone know if you can get it without the mango slaw?

My wife and I love the fried green tomato sandwich with sweet potato fries...I really hope they keep it on the menu.

I'm gonna cry. :(

I'll be in the park tomorrow, I'm going to check the restaurant signs...

If it is not on the menu can you please ask if it's still available to order. :flower: You know, like the cheese sticks at Golden Horseshoe.

I've never had the tomato one but the Turkey and provolone one is my favorite! I will definitely be sad if that ones gone!

I was there yesterday and there were a bunch of management types with new printed menus that had a picnic salad and a turkey wrap. They ordered those and the tomato sandwich and current salad and shared them between themselves. The wrap looked awful, just a few slices of deli meat and cheese. The dressing for the salad was neon pink. I would not order either. Now there is no vegetarian menu item at Harbour Galley or Hungry Bear. Even if they add a veggie burger, that still leaves less variety for vegetarians. How about a grilled veggie wrap instead of or in addition to turkey.

It's not on the menu and neither is the Bumble Bee Cupcake! WTH???????? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

See...now if they want to add the wrap and salad and KEEP the tomato sandwich, I'm OK with that....

Oh, yeah, the management people were ordering the cupcakes, too. What annoyed me was I ordered a sandwich, and they were behind me in line, but the CMs served them first! I was waiting, and waiting and the CM filling orders finally asked if I was at the right window. Um, yes, I am. Then CMs starting bringing out trays of food, including 3 of the same sandwich I ordered for people who ordered after me... and those were Disney employees. Nice service. I even asked if I could just have my drink because it was 100 degrees while I was standing there waiting.

See...now if they want to add the wrap and salad and KEEP the tomato sandwich, I'm OK with that....
I completely understand that most DL places have small kitchens and can only handle a limited menu. But there's already a burger place in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. There's nothing special about having 3 burger places. Having 1-2 chicken/turkey sandwiches doesn't make it not "bun, meat, bun" and that's all.
