You are the only one here so far. Why?DISAGREE. I can't tell you how STRONGLY I disagree with this.

This was posted today. Not sure if this means there's more to the rumor, or if it's just rehashing old news.

Could be they're looking to drive 50th anniversary traffic. Could be they're looking to keep people on site all week instead of letting Universal siphon one or two days.
If it is a full 5th park, it has Marvel written all over it. Business sense would dictate something to draw guests not already here instead of redistributing existing guests, while also taking away the urge to leave campus for other destinations. The only flaw with Marvel is Universal's theme park rights. But I'm starting to think Disney is willing to spend a pretty penny to get the characters all under a single banner again.
I completely agree. Right now nothing points to a 5th park being built. Before the stock crash in 2008, Disney was quite close to building a 5th park but of course that was cancelled. There's no such thing as a statistical certainty... But 0.0001% is where I would put the probability on this. There would have to be a MASSIVE Spike in attendance and spending to justify a traditional Disney park. That's just not on the horizon. Exclusive, high ticket boutique park? Now Maybe that makes sense.

Disney likes money therefore I don't see them spending what it would take to get those rights back and then building marvel based rides on top of that. It would definitely be in the billions.Could be they're looking to drive 50th anniversary traffic. Please, no, Lord.
That's my quiet drive home at night.

LOL. I was thinking about 429, and how it's one of the Orlando's best kept secrets. It's nice that way.
I take 417 every day, and even that's a nice, quiet drive compared to I-Fear.
My basic takeaway from the article is "Disney's 50th is coming up, so there must be a 5th park coming".
Damn - now I'm even starting to SOUND like lockedoutlogic. What's WRONG with me???![]()

I guess WDW has hit a mid-life crisis, and will be purchasing a bright red Corvette next.

C'mon, this is purely hit-whoring, and it's working for the guy.
What does he really say:
"Oh, their building something at Flamingo Crossing!"
"Oh, there's hotels being built too!"
"This MUST mean a 5th gate!"
There's NO evidence of this at ALL.
