Yesterday I was told by someone that goes to DL even more than I do (she seems to know several CMs, so that lent her story credence) that Signature APs (the one I have) may have more blockout days when I renew it than it did last year. As it stands now, the two weeks at Christmas are blocked. That's fine because I'm home in Chicago at that time anyway. In short, it makes no difference to me. But she pointed out something that's on the back of my pass (and all APs, presumably): "...with pre-specified , revocable privileges, which may be changed or cancelled at any time without notice." Yikes. She mentioned that when Star Wars Land opens, my pass may be blocked; I may not be allowed to go on opening day. Obviously, that may or may not happen, but it strikes me as rather mean spirited. I come to DL all the time -- I'm a loyal guest. But when SWL opens, I may not be allowed to come. Who knows? But hopefully this or something like it never comes to pass.
Despite that, it was a great time at the park yesterday. It started while in line at the gate. There was a very nice mom and her two daughters (about 8 and 9) behind us. I love kids and we asked them what ride they planned to go on first. To no one's surprise, they said "Peter Pan!" I suggested that they follow us, since we're usually first on the ride. I promised that I'd do whatever I could to make sure they were first that day.
Half an hour later after rope drop, I managed to be first in line for PP. I let the girls and their mom have my place. They'd never been first on the ride and I think/hope it made their day. I'll always surrender my first-place spot to kids when/if they're nice.
Later, I did well on Buzz. On my last ride of the day, I was able to break 2M on both guns. However, I took one shot too many on one of them and lost my score on that side (if you exceed about 2,096,000, your score will reset and you'll start back again at zero). But at least I know my true score.
I didn't sleep well the night before and only got about two hours of sleep. But I worked to make it a great day, irrespective of this challenge.
First in the park -- saw Mickey from afar.

First in the park
. Always a great view.

L7 on both sides
.

This was the ride -- my last of the day -- where I broke 2M on both sides but went slightly over 2,096,000 on the left and lost my score. Otherwise, both scores would have displayed somewhere above 2M. #FirstWorldProblems ;-)
