In Juneau, has anyone done the 6 hour trip they offer? Did you catch fish? See lots of whales and other wildlife?

We did this excursion in August 2013. It was great! Captain Chris met us at the dock and drove us to his boat. We had quite a bit of rain and it was on the cooler side. I cannot even begin to tell you how many whales we saw! They were everywhere! Came up right beside the boat. We also saw bald eagles, but I didn't get great photos of them because they were soaking wet sitting up on the light poles. We only caught three good sized salmon, but not for lack of trying. Captain Chris was afraid of that because of how the weather had been. If we get the opportunity to do another Alaska cruise in the future, we will definitely book this excursion again!

Pixie How many where in you party? Any kids? Who and how much did you tip? Thanks,

We had six in our party; myself, DH, my parents who are in their 50s, and my two kids who were 16 and 12 at the time. We tipped Captain Chris and the college kid that he had helping him, but I don't remember what amount we tipped.
