Rules for pictures in the 2nd round of dvc silver sweepstakes

So I have looked over the rule/requirements for the 2nd round of dvc silver sweeps. What I read was -- post pics of your favorite view at a dvc resort and that you need to state which resort it is from. I presumed that the picture you post has to actually be from/at a dvc resort. Why am I seeing people posting park pictures? Or am I just in interpreting it wrong. Obviously peoples park/ride pics are getting approved, but why state picture requirements but not actually obeyed by them.

I agree it's weird that there's park pictures... I read it as you did.. they wanted photos of views from a DVC resort... oh well Disney is approving them unless it's a weird crossover of photos from the first round that were approved after the cut off date but were submitted before the cut off? Just speculating possible reasons??

And the one pic of a purse. And if you click on those (that don't follow the requirements), most of them don't have any write up but just another title pretty much and that doesn't even name the resort as required.

I figure if people can't take time to read the rules and follow them they shouldn't be allowed to enter. Why have someone waste their time (and probably our member $$) to "approve" entries. Glad I'm not the only one who thought it is weird. Granted my picture is of a light from SSR but we are fascinated by the detail in the lights all over disney. I can't tell you how many pictures I have of them.

I, too, thought it was weird ...... Especially since our photo hasn't shown up yet. I entered on the 27th and just got confirmation that our entry was accepted on April 2. Since our photo hasn't hit the member photos page, I thought perhaps it would just be added sometime this week. In the meantime, all the odd photos have been confusing me. Like the previous poster said, I was surprised to see a pic of a purse when it is supposed to be a resort view. It looks to me like they are throwing all the remaining first round photos in with the resort views.

I wonder if they are throwing in the previous entries from round one. I only say this because on Friday 4/1 when i went on to look, i selected "member memories" it was blank and there was nothing. So it seemed like they removed the first round pics.

We at least put up a photo of MK/Castle at sunset from BLT.

I was confused as well. Thought it had to be resort related. Some, however, posted park pictures with the narrative of which resort they stayed at during that trip. Maybe Disney sees that as advertisement for the resorts within the narrative. Who knows?

I actually just sent in a question to the contest to questions why submissions that have not complied with the rules are being approved. I am not one to cause trouble, but why have these specific rules for picture submissions and not abide by them? We shall see if i get a response.

No kidding!! If i won I would certainly would have announced/rejoiced on here (just to share not to rub it in anyone's face).

I scrolled through a bunch yesterday looking for mine after I got the email that it had been approved. I was also surprised at the ratio of non-resort related photos compared to ones that were actually obviously from a resort. I was starting to think I'd read the rules wrong or something. I agree, it's odd how many people are just submitting random photos. I missed the one of the purse tho. It certainly would improve our odds of winning if those with random photos were denied for not sticking to the "rules". I guess Disney rules are made to be broken... Since I've never won a contest or lottery in my life I'm not holding my breath on this one either. Looks like a ton of entries...

can anyone provide the link? We submitted ours before the deadline and got word of approval this past week. I am unsure how to look at all the submitted photos?

OK nevermind, I found it...but I do see what you all mean about the "mix" of photos...most likely just a collection of the submissions! I hope they announce the winner soon!!

If anybody wants to see, I'm the guy in one of the larger photos (unless they rotate which photos get into the larger squares) with a view from the Contemporary tower in the background. I even wrote a little blurb about it.
