Following on from the recent thread about what we sacrifice for our Disney holidays ................... I have been very, very sensible and spent the money that I had earmarked for next summer's Med cruise on a new porch. Our existing porch is on its last legs and looking extremely shabby and the price was just too good to turn down ~ one of the few good things to come out of this recession. It will be nice to have the front entrance of the house finally looking smart but oh how I would have loved to have been sailing with Captain Mickey again that's why I signed on the dotted line before I had chance to change my mind!!

Sensible decision Elaine. We too decided to forgo Disney this year so I can get a new car. My current car is getting old and we could have put if off until next year, but decided this year would be better. Oh well, the car will last many years and Disney will always be there. Plus I have wanted a sports car for the past 10 years so I am excited to finally be getting one!!

Very sensible decision It's tough isn't it. We're extending the house at the mo and then we want a new car and the list goes on and on.....we might still get a holiday, but probably not a big one for quite a while. Well done for being strong and listening to your head

Its such a hard thing to do, we have decided that our trip in September will be the last for a few years as we want to buy a house, and the only thing stopping me, is that i know i wont be able to go 'home' for a while...

Buy Disney isn't going anywhere, and you have made the right decision...
