I can't stand the male chauvinist attitudes in Rudolph. What's wrong with being different? Why can't someone do something without butting heads? The male coach reindeer is such a PIG, I want to throw something at the TV. Why can't Clarise like Rudolph? Why can't Clarise cross the field by herself?--she doesn't have broken legs. Why is she and all the other females in Rudolph such wussies!

And Herbie the dentist... Herbie just wants to be a doctor, not a manual factory laborer like this rest of the town. What is wrong with the town that they do not encourage diversity? I'd be thrilled if someone was a dentist in that town..

I always rant when Rudolph is on. DH watches it and he gets a lot of eye rolling from me the entire time.

Just think about those things-- honestly. What is wrong with being a dentist or being different? NOTHING.

I never even liked that one as a kid... it bugged me then as well.

It was slow at work last night so I got to leave early, about 7:00, so made it home in plenty of time to watch "Rudolph" and "Frosty." They are definitely classics in my book!

I like Rudolph, but I don't disagree with Cindy B's sentiments. It didn't bug me as a kid, but when I got older, it bugged me that Santa had a problem with Rudolph being different. Not enough that I don't watch it, but it did bug me, KWIM?
