Please help me be reasonable about this! This is a pretty good rate for our early December trip, but Delta seems to be changing all sorts of times and flights. If I book this now (and DH told me to wait) I could be in for all sorts of headaches. :headache:

BUT...
What if I wait and the fares go up? I am hoping American will have a deal like they had for Feb.-May for $158, or somewhere in that ballpark. We paid $232 ($250 with tax) per person for our flight in August and our agreement is that we can't go in December unless the flights are cheap.

So what do you all think? Buy or wait? Wait or buy? :hyper:

EDIT: Never mind! Now the fare is the same as American, $251. Crap.

It seems there is a definite upward trend in airfares across the board. I would probably jump on a $209 fare. I'd really doubt that you'll get something matching the $158 you paid. If it were me, I'd buy and just keep a track on your flight times for changes.

I was gonna book delta Saturday and had a choice of 5 direct flights at $177.00. This morning 4 direct flights are no longer coming up with the lone remaining at $355.00. Read another post about Delta discontinuing many Florida flights. I'm gonna book US Air tonight at $215.00 from Charlotte, NC to Orlando.

I didn't get the $158! :rotfl: We booked in December for travel in August at $250 per ticket. Then I got this e-mail from American for flights between February and mid-May for $158 round trip. Using those restrictions I looked to see if I could work a December trip, and we could by leaving on a Saturday and coming home on a Tuesday. (It has to be a short one because we can't take DS out too many days.)

So now I am stuck. It is possible that American will release low fares around mid-September since we are going in that space between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Right now the December price on American is the exact same price we paid for the August trip - the price has been steady for the past 2 months. So I don't know if I should get the Delta flights now or hold out for cheaper flights (on whatever airline) later. Especially since DH said I shouldn't buy them now...
