I know I know, this has been discussed a zillion times.

But please someone help me.

We are here now, and I can't get into my email that has all my notes.

So looking at the pamphlet I got at DTD, it says get the RSR distribution center is next to Tough to be a Bug. But that's not near RSR. So where am I running wide-right to?

Again, forgive me but can someone please type out the wide-right thing again? My cell is driving me nuts, ugh.

TIA if someone could kindly tell me.

(after countless trips to WDW I am actually nervous about this one tomorrow!!! but :cool1: )

You'll need to decide if you want to get in line for FP or do Wide Right to get straight onto the ride. (I'm assuming you don't have Early Entry tomorrow and its not an EE day for others since its Thurs.)

If you are going to the FP line you'll go straight and its on the left of the main corridor, you'll probably turn left at the fountain and enter the line near Disney Jr. Live.
If you are going to try to get on the ride you go straight and as far forward to the CM's holding the rope (which is a gas pump hose) and stay as far to the right as possible As the crowd moves forward everyone will turn left to go up the road into Carsland. Keep to the right side in the crowd and RSR is all the way at the end on the right.

Hope that makes sense. I haven't done it since Feb so someone correct me if anything has changed.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

That makes sense and similar to what (I Think??) I have in my notes -- that I cannot open.

Now to decide what to do....

What would you think about riding Soarin stand by and then getting the RSR FP?

Give me WDW and I can do it in my sleep! LOL (Well, plan what to do) but this is making me nervous!! Hope I can sleep tonight, so excited!!!

Thanks again!!!!

:goodvibes

You don't have EE? I would go straight for the FP since its on the way anyway. Soarin also has FP and IME the lines are shorter. Get the RSR FP then head over to Soarin. Unless you want a really late FP.

I tend to go mostly in low season, but I think the strategy would be similar for high season. As long as you are there in the morning Soarin' shouldn't be too bag IME.

As the PP said, you cannot do wide right and get a FP for RSR. You can (most likely) do wide right and then go back for the FP afterwards.

For the RSR FP, it's located near the entrance to it's a Bug's Life Land.

It's worth noting that the blue in the photo above (indicating where the RSR FP line will be) no longer forms pre-park opening. So if you want to get a FP at opening, you'll need to hang out on the left side of the waiting area and then head towards the entrance with the rest of the mob. I suspect the line forms along the same path at that point. It's also worth noting that they no longer issue FPs if RSR is not open (so if it's not open at park opening, no FPs will be distributed).

In terms of the "Wide Right Technique" this thread sums it pretty nicely:

IN terms of Soarin' and RSR FP, at this point, my guess is that if you head straight to Soarin' at opening you shouldn't run into to much of a crowd. As long as your back to the RSR FP location within the first hour of the park being open, I think you'll be fine. You'll hear about folks that go straight to TSMM and then come back for an RSR FP, so I suspect this is pretty similar. The RSR ride time will probably late afternoon/early evening at that point. Also, note that RSR is now "connected" so once you get that FP, you cannot get another DCA FP (not including WOC) for two hours or when the RSR FP time window opens (whichever comes first).

Fast passes were lasting until noon when we were there two weeks ago. One morning we took our time getting a fp and it was for 9:35. We rode it that morning and then were able to get more fp when our friends arrived at 11am. Our fp were for 5:25 at that point.

Leaving tomorrow and wondered a few things:

1. Right now with high crowds is it better to start with toy story and go back for RSR fast passes? Or will they run out?

Or grab the fast passes and then head to Toy Story?

Or would we have time to ride RSR, grab fast passes and then head to toy story?
It's just me and the kids (younger) so no runner and only have two non early entry days to maximize these rides!
