RS Transports - more questions

Thanks to help from Disboarders :flower3: I now have my booking with RS Transports for this Sunday but I still have a couple of questions about it. For a start, how does it work: will the driver be waiting in arrivals with a name card for me or do I have to go to a particular area, maybe outside? I understand that I pay the driver at the time – before or after the journey? – and how much should I tip?
 
Weve used them twice. First time we arrived early and went outside. We spotted the blue rstransport car and went over to him. The second time we were greeted by tge driver holding up our namecard at arrivals gate.

You pay the driver when he drops you at hotel. If you have return booked you pay this also.

Day before you leave just go to your hotel reception and show them your rs transports printout and ask them to call to confirm your pickup next day. They are happy to do this.

Had great service both times from rs transports and booked them for our next 2 trips.
 
cherry your email confirmation should have an attachment/voucher on it. That attachment should tell you where you will meet your driver on arrival (ie it will say something like "on arrival at terminal 2B, go to exit gate 10").
If there are no specific instructions like that on your email, don't worry. Take the phone number with you, and if you don't see a driver there with your name on a piece of paper as you come through your arrival exit, give them a call.

Thanks, I won't worry if no one greets us at arrivals then. Nice to know I can pay the return in one go (no chance of spending those extra euros on merchandise then!) I'll make sure to confirm the return the day before too although it is only a flying (no pun intended) visit with just two full days in the park.

Now you've worried me! No attachment to email, literally just this message: "It's confirmed.you pay to the driver on arrival & see you on 29 th." Should be OK though?

Any advice on tipping?
 

yes, it will still be confirmed, don't worry. You can always email them back and ask where they will meet you exactly.

The shuttle drivers don't expect a tip, but if you want to tip, 5 euros is more than enough for each journey.
 
Thanks Elaine, I feel much more prepared now. Just a few anxieties about how Oliver will cope with flying but I am banking on it all being such an adventure for him that as long as I can get him to sit still long enough it will be fine. :)

Pick up time will be approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes before your flight departure time.
You should be ready to leave, either in the hotel lobby or in front of your main entrance at the scheduled pick up time. Please kindly wait until the end of the time-period designated for your scheduled pick up. Confirm with the driver your reservation, be sure you are not in a wrong car of another company.

Do not worry, if any heavy traffic problem, we will call you.

For any cancellation made by the client, the following cancellation fees will apply:
- more than 2 days before the transfer: 5% of the overall price
- the day before transfer: 50% of the overall price
- the day of transfer: no refund

Was this for recent transfers with RS Transports? I booked with them last month for our October trip, but the telephone contact no's l received are different:
+ 33 0 9 67 25 21 05,
emergency +33 0 6 75 63 50 35 or +33 0 6 68 16 08 42
 
I was very unsure about using them last month but it was all ok, I arrived at CDG 2D and went to the meeting place... no Car- no sign, gave them a call and they said he be there in 2 mins - and he was!

The driving wa sa bit "European" for my taste but we got there quickly and safely (ish)

My First choice will always be the TGV but I would def use them again.
 
@crmscotland - yeh this is for our booking next week and that confirmation was received a few days ago.


I agree the driver we had second time was definitely a "European" driver lol. Great adventure and one of the best "rides" on our last Disney trip lol I would rate it up their with Big Thunder Mountain for thrill AND pleasure factor :)

I emailed them tonight to check & they replied with the same tel. no's
as in the original confirmation l received, maybe the different tel no's relate to different drivers or something.
I noticed one of the tel no's they sent me is on their website. As long as someone transfers us there & back l don't mind. :)
I've used them 3 times before (last time was 2008) with no problems.

Good to know I needn't panic then. Not so sure about the driving though, especially as it will be dark. Unfortunately there is no TGV from Orly, just the RER and two changes which I wasn't keen on.
